MMO: Bluewater Village

I've never done a makeover of Bluewater Village before. In my previous Megahood, I deleted the whole hood immediately and distributed the Sims over the other hoods. I don't think I have ever played it either, gone through the houses or anything like that. As such, I've never attached an 'identity' to it the way I have to the other EAxis hoods, so it was quite interesting to try and give it one.
I've always seen Bluewater Village as being situated somewhere between Pleasantview and Belladonna Cove. I suppose it could be a fishermen's village that has grown into a trade outpost. Eventually, I'd like to give it more 'marine' elements, maybe a marine biology research institute and some fish shops, stuff like that.

The terrain has been extensively landscaped with the modifyneighborhoodterrain cheat. I disliked how the hill on the left threw the park and Delarosa residence into shadow, so it's been reduced to something a bit more understated. The other hills have been sculpted and smoothed a lot as well. The terrain looked like someone spend a grand total of five minutes in SC4 on it. Looks a lot better now, in my opinion.

Bluewater Village sports a cruise terminal, and I'm thinking of building a ferry as well, so it gets the look of an actual seaport.

The main residential area. I like the white houses with black roofs, I might use that as a theme for the entire 'hood.

The other side of the peninsula. I made that stretch of road beachlot-usable, and it's got its own little mooring spot.

You are so good at decorating and makeovering 'hoods! I have never liked Bluewater Village, but it looks amazing in your game! :D

Thank you :3

I never really liked Bluewater Village either. I sort of had to force myself to do this MMO... but I like how it came out after all :) It just needed some love, hehe.

It looks beautiful! I love what you've done with the terrain, the first neighborhood I really played was on this template and it was a nightmare.

Thank you :) It is a terrain in dire need of love, though. It's so uneven, and the mountains look horrible, and you've got that lovely park that's just in the shadow of a looming hill... Ugh. I think the way this hood looks is responsible for me never having played it before!

Your Bluewatervillage looks so great!! Well donne :)

I don't like that big hill that puts the park and Delarosa house into shadow either...and, I never thought of using the modifyneighborhoodterrain cheat to correct it so, thank you so much for pointing me that :D

You have an amazing talent for decorating the neighborhoods. Its something that I have absolutely no patience for so it always amazes me to see 'hoods look this good!
