BaCC Week 6: The Greengrass Family
Stephen Greengrass is a man on a mission. A mission for power, to be more precise. Ever since he was little, he's known that it is his destiny to take over the world and become its leader. However, fortune has seen fit to have him grow up in a farmer's family. Not exactly the gateway to wealth and influence, which is why he's been breaking his head trying to come up with a plan that will give him the power he'll need.

At least Stephen can try and forget about his failure in Yue's arms.

The solution came to him in the not unpleasant shape of Flora Fenwick. He'd been trying to convince her mother to initiate him in the ways of magic, but Lily had always refused, feeling uneasy around Stephen. Now that he's heard she's inherited her mother's abilities, Stephen wastes no time in sweetening her up.

Flora fell into his arms quickly enough.

Flora fell into his arms quickly enough.

She wasn't the only one he's been charming, though. His childhood crush Yue seemed a lot more interested in him after the onset of puberty. Flora is just a means to an end for Stephen, but Yue... Yue will be his queen.

Myra has no idea that her son is plotting a magical takeover of the world. Then again, she's been growing steadily older, and one morning she woke up more creaky than usual.

Her best friend drops by regularly, which eases her worries about growing older. Lily loves spending time with her friend, but also tries to keep an eye on Stephen and Flora. It's not that she doesn't trust her daughter, she just doesn't trust Stephen one bit.

Cordelia has taken over the gardening completely, now her mother is an elder. Autumn will be coming soon, and the village needs to be provided with fresh crops to store. There's still no reliable connection to nearby cities, so the Greengrass family is still the only source of food that Riverside Hollow has.

She enjoys the work though, and has maxed out her Nature enthousiasm quite a while ago.

Akela's enthousiasm seems to be limited to getting herself dirty and rolling around in the trash.

In such a busy household, little Hannah gets overlooked quite a bit. Nobody has bothered to teach her how to do homework yet, and she's feeling pretty lonely as the only child on the farm. She wishes she lived closer to the other families in the hollow, so she could hang out with her school friends. For the time being, catching bugs will have to keep her amused.

Cordelia has met another young man, and this time she's fallen heads over heels for him. This redheaded gentleman is called Victor, and so far Cordelia has found out that he's a rather poor Knowledge sim.

And that she likes him. A lot.

Meanwhile, Stephen has decided that the time has come to cash in on his investment with Flora. He'll invite her over, tell her that as her faithful boyfriend it's only right that they share this magical ability together, and hey presto, she'll initiate him into the magical arts.

Well, that was the plan anyway.
Flora: "You want me to... what?"

Flora: "I can't believe this! You only ever went out with me because you wanted me to teach you magic, didn't you? Ugh! I should've listened to mom, she warned me this would happen!"

Stephen: "That is so unfair! I didn't go out with you just because you're magical! I don't know why you're making such a fuss out of this. I've shared so many things with you, now I just want you to share this with me!"
Flora: "I don't think so. Magic isn't some sort of toy for you to play around with, Stephen. My mom was initiated into the White Circle to do good! It's a sacred mission, and as her daughter I've got a duty to continue that mission. You just want it because it'll make life easier for you!"

Stephen: "TEACH ME!"

Flora: "You think you can force me to teach you magic?! I don't know what I ever saw in you, Stephen. We're over, I'm leaving, don't ever bother me again."
Stephen: "Fine. It's not like I ever really wanted to hang out with you anyway."
Flora: "You're such a jerk."

At least Stephen can try and forget about his failure in Yue's arms.

Cordelia and Victor have been enjoying each other's company immensely, and Victor's been invited to stay over for a couple of nights in a row already.

Victor: "Dearest Delia, I know a good thing when I see it, and I don't see why we should waste any more time when we both know where this is going."

Victor: "... so would you accept this ring, and consent to marrying me?"

Cordelia: *SQUEE!*"
Myra: "About dang time too, youngsters! I want to see me some grandchildren before I go!"

Victor proposed to Cordelia right before Stephen's birthday party. Time for him to grow up into a man!

Not half bad at all. He might be a bastard, but he's a handsome bastard nonetheless.

I took advantage of the occasion to age up Yue alongside Stephen. They've got two bolts, and I like the idea of them together, so she got moved in and became a playable!
Yue T'ien
Personality: Neat 6, Outgoing 5, Active 8, Serious 3, Grouchy 3
Aspiration: Knowledge
LTW: Become Cult Leader
OTH: Games
Another aspiring Cult Leader? These two were made for each other.

Smoochies and some minor groping seal the deal.

A look at her relationship panel showed that Yue had a very special friend. A friend that would probably be of great interest to Stephen.

Yue: "It's so good to see you, Nico. I think I'm finally ready to take up your offer to become your apprentice."

Nicodemus: "Excellent. Hold still, this might tickle a little..."

Yue: "Sparkles!"

Hannah: "Look sis! Nobody was around to care, but I had my teenage transition!"
Cordelia: "Congratulations! And uhm, sorry about that. Victor and I were, uh... busy?"
Hannah: "Uhuh, busy. I heard. Keep it down a little next time, okay?"

The Greengrasses who aren't scheming, plotting, and becoming apprentice to evil forces are kept busy with the coming harvest.

Yue: "Nico, this is Stephen, my boyfriend. Stephen, this is Nicodemus, my mentor. I think you two have a lot to talk about."

Stephen: "Oh we do indeed!"
