BaCC Week 10: The Greengrass Family
The Greengrasses recently spent a large chunk of their money and time on building a new farmhouse, as well as a barn to store their goods. (I've been looking for some decent farm animal downloads as well, any suggestions?)

It's only a small farmhouse, and they will probably have to expand again once the family grows larger, but for now it comfortably houses them all.

BaCC Week 9: The Greengrass Family
Springtime on the Greengrass Homestead means a lot of hard work, sowing and tending the crops for a good harvest in summer and autumn. With the opening of the Greengrass Grocery store, good produce will be essential. Noone wants to pay for bland fruit or vegetables, after all.
Not that there are many alternatives around, something Cordelia is well aware of. A few of the Riverside Hollow sims have started their own vegetable plots, but most don't have the time to grow their own food. If she plays this well, her family could be rolling in simoleons before too long.

BaCC Week 8: The Greengrass Family
Last week saw the birth of Emily, Cordelia and Victor's daughter. Ever since she joined the family, Emily's pretty much taken the front stage for everyone involved. Everyone except for Hannah, but it's not like anyone cares about her.

Grandad Parker takes care of the tot when her parents are out. Cordelia has her new business to deal with (Greengrass Groceries, the freshest fruit and veg in town!), while Victor has taken over as the town's teacher after Myra passed away without making it to Education Minister.

BaCC Week 6: The Greengrass Family
Stephen Greengrass is a man on a mission. A mission for power, to be more precise. Ever since he was little, he's known that it is his destiny to take over the world and become its leader. However, fortune has seen fit to have him grow up in a farmer's family. Not exactly the gateway to wealth and influence, which is why he's been breaking his head trying to come up with a plan that will give him the power he'll need.

BaCC Week 5: The Greengrass Family
Schoolwork is finally catching up with my free time as well, so the updating schedule is probably going to be all over the place for the next few weeks. Sorry bout that, but such is life etc :) I'll probably be quite slow replying to comments and things for a while as well, so don't take it personally or anything ^^
This was a very, very busy household to play, so I only got to take pictures every now and again. Not much of a plot for this one, I'm afraid :)

Myra Greengrass and her brood + fiancé have finally managed to move to better arable land, and set to work building the farm that has come to be known as the Greengrass Homestead. Myra's family is matrilinial, meaning the husbands take on their wife's name, and she intends to leave the farm to her daughter Cordelia when the farming work becomes too heavy for her.
The farm so far consists out of a small farmhouse, a garden plot, a little orchard and a duckpond which they've stocked with fish from the river.

BaCC Week 4: The Greengrass Family
The Greengrass household has been shook up badly by Myra and Davin's divorce. Myra's furious with Davin, the kids are furious with Davin, and Davin's furious with Myra. Of course, he gets to be a jerk about it and steal their invisible newspapers.
The atmosphere in the house is tense, as the situation has taken its toll on everybody's moods. Cordelia has been trying to distance herself from her mother, and Stephen, who got along with his dad very well, has been in a right state, throwing tantrums and being rather more unpleasant than usual. Little Hannah is too young to really understand what's going on, thankfully.

BaCC Week 3: The Babbling & Greengrass Family
Another joint update today, as the events in these families affected eachother. I've been experimenting with playing the rota in half-weeks, to see if it works for me. Playing-wise it's great, but it does give for some muddled updates :)

Starting off this update is Rose Lovelace, who has something to tell Teddy Babbling.

Rose: "Uh, Teddy? Meet your daughter..."

BaCC Week 2: The Greengrass Family
Myra is coming to find out that life in this new town is not quite as idyllic as she imagined. She knows that she'd be able to grow a much better crop out in the fields rather than in this forest meadow, but Davin has been reluctant to leave the safety provided by having others around. She's got her hands full tending the garden, taking care of Cordelia and trying to mediate whenever Davin's upset someone again. She really wishes he'd try to get along with people a bit more, and it makes her sad that he's causing so much friction.

Davin on the other hand is getting more and more frustrated that nobody will do what he tells them to. He's fed up with Felix' unwillingness to move to better arable land and doesn't see why everyone seems to fall over themselves to do whatever Felix tells them to. Even Arthur, who he has always gotten along with, annoyingly sticks up for the Great Felix. He mostly takes out his frustration on harrassing Nate Babbling, that abomination of nature. At least he's good for something.

And little Cordelia? She's blissfully unaware of her parent's troubles, and has a grand time playing with her pink bunnyrabbit head.

BaCC: The Greengrass Family
Davin and Myra aren't overly happy with Felix' decision to build their community in the forest meadow he chose. The ground in the open fields would be much better for growing fruit and vegetables. Still, they do understand the importance of sticking together in the early days of their expedition, and are employing the strategy of put up and shut up, for now.
Myra has been having a go at establishing the fruit trees she brought along, and sowing some seeds, but the plants aren't doing too well without fertiliser or insect spray. This kind of thing always seemed a lot easier back at her gardening course, where plenty of well-mulched and fertilised ground was available. She's giving it her best shot though, as the entire community will depend on her for food as soon as the stock they brought along runs out.
