Strangely Pleasant: Strangetown (Round 4.1)
Short Strangetown updates, as I didn't take as many pictures as I usually do. (Less time to play and I did want to get through this Round. It feels so untidy to leave one part of the hood unplayed.)
Circe brought him home from work, as they're both in the Natural Science track. Circe is still an Animal Linguist, and as you can tell transitioned into an Elder shortly after Loki did. She fulfilled her LTW of earning 100.000$ by making sound investments, so I won't really be working on getting her up the career ladder anymore. One old fart running around starkers is enough for one neighbourhood.
Time for Freya to leave for University :) I think I'll change the system by which I send Sims to Uni after this round. At the moment they all start play together on Monday, and all graduate on the same day, which isn't realistic seeing as they're actually all of different ages. I'll have to keep track of what weekday they went to Uni on, and add them to the dorm accordingly.
Loki achieved Permaplat as well, having become a Mad Scientist.
I like the fact that he wears his weddingring on his bionic hand :P
Loki and Circe are one of those surprise cute couples. They spend a lot of time canoodling, to the great delight of Jeff Pleasant. Skadi still drags a friend home from school every single day.
If she didn't have the best LTW ever (Criminal Mastermind! How awesome is that?) I'd change her to popularity. I can see her already, bossing all the other crimelords around in her fluffy pink cardigan.
Painting is serious business.
Circe has developed a fondness for the telescope. She spends most of her evenings on the roof, looking at the stars. Or spying on those blasted Curious brothers, more likely.
Lucas invited his cousins over for some playtime over the weekend. Diego and Camilla love the warm climate, and wasted no time in getting a waterballoon fight going :) 
I've been trying to get a decent automatic-picture-edit-action going as well, so I can just churn my batches of pictures through it and have them look a bit better. I hope I haven't overdone it, but I think they look a lot better now :)

Speaking about the Curiouses, Skadi keeps bringing Sigmund Curious home from school. He seems a bit intimidated by her dad, though.
And by Skadi herself, come to think of it. They've got two bolts together though, same as Carl and Freya :)
Loki's new hobby: Robotics. Seeing as the Beakers can't really have a butler, he's decided that he wants to try and build his own. I'm not sure he'll succeed before he dies of old age, though.
And Skadi leaving for college signals the end of Round 4 for the Beakers :)
The Grunts
Which is mostly about Buzz Grunt, seeing as Crystal is one of those yawn-worthy Fortune Sims. He spent a lot of time worrying and was very difficult to keep happy, so I steeled my resolve and started working on those 10 Best Friends.
He already had quite a few thanks to the extensive networking of other Sims, and a few house parties later, Olive Specter was the final building block in fulfilling his lifelong dream of being really quite popular. Hopefully she'll stop stealing his newspaper now.
The rest of Buzz' time was spent on teaching Rover new tricks.
Rover now knows every single trick, the first dog I've ever played to achieve this :)
Buzz and Rover have become bestest pals after spending all that time together. It's quite sweet to see them play and give love to eachother :)
I'm thinking of implementing a retirement home for the oldies whose children have left the house (and who I don't find interesting enough to play on their own).
The Sims
Both Lola and Amin grew up into oldies. They'd be the first to be sent to the retirement home, if I decide to use that idea -_-
Both Lola and Amin needed some more friends for their respective careers, so they invited some acquaintances over for a party. Bonkers does not approve of all these Sims taking up his cushy snoozing spots.
I discovered these in Amin's inventory. Apparently he used to be quite the camerawhore when he was younger :P
The Loners
Lucas Loner grew up into a good-looking little kid. He looks quite a lot like his cousin, Diego Lothario.
He's quite close with his dad, who helps him out with his homework everyday.
He seems to enjoy the telescope as much as his dad did, as well.
Ajay made it to Head of SCIA, fulfilling his LTW :) Hopefully the money he got for his promotion will help out getting bigger returns on the family's investments, helping Dina's LTW along. She still works in showbusiness, and spends a lot of time sweating to keep her body in shape. Not easy, as she's getting on in years a bit.
She's the 'hoods most flexible granny, anyway :)
Ajay reached his silver years as well.
The family having dinner together. I'm so glad I found some decent elder outfits for females. Dina is a working woman, despite her age, and she just can't go around dressed in those shapeless sacks EAxis calls elder clothing.
Dina hasn't reached those 100.000$ yet, but she's led a long and content life and learned to be happy with what she's got. She's my first Sim to reach a 'natural' permaplatinum :)

The week ended slightly in mineur though, as the Loners got burglarised! Luckily the thief didn't manage to steal anything before the police arrived to take her in.

So, I'm sorry. :P But thank you anyway! And I agree, fakepeeps' stuff is awesome! I think my sim kids will end up having more options than any other age group (except maybe female adults).
