Short updates for Strangetown this time round, as apparently I didn't take that many pictures. I've been fiddling around with the small 'town center' area that I added to the map with SC4. It looks a bit more like a town now, instead of a random collection of houses in the middle of the desert. Where would Strangetown sims get their food? Or go to school? Surely they'd need a police station, and a doctor, stuff like that?





There's also a monorail now, for fast transportation to Sim City.


The Curious Brothers



Last picture of Lazlo in his Underwater Demolition Expert outfit, as he got promoted. I did love seeing him clunk around the house like that :P



I downloaded a mod that allows Sims to sit down hangout-style when watching TV and the other seats are occupied. Beats having them stand around like berks, blocking the sight of whoever's behind them.



Orion has been hanging around with Jeff Pleasant a lot.

Jeff: "Dammit! Whenever I come over to visit you I end up with a cubic meter of sand in my shoes!"
Orion: "Yeah, sorry bout that. Why do you think I wear flipflops?"



Jeff's not a good influence, as Orion's taken to sneaking out at night to hit the clubs downtown. Where'd Jeff get that shiny car, anyway?



Erin's had a little 'accident', and joined the club of currently knocked up women. They have little get togethers occasionally to catch up and support eachother.

Nina: "I just feel like a sumo-wrestler lately! I didn't even think a Sim could GET this huge! You guys aren't that huge! What's wrong with me?!"
Dina: "Well, remember those pictures of mom when she was pregnant with us...?"



I love the fact that my kids bring other playables home from school. Orion's good friends with his cousin Sigmund thanks to an afternoon spent playing mary mack. All those relationships they develop now will come in handy later in life, when they'll need lots of friends to get promoted.



I'm afraid I'd been neglecting Lazlo for a while, and the poor guy went into aspiration failure.



No time for delusions now, Lazlo! Your wife's about to give birth!



Erin popped out a little girl, which they named Evelyn. She's got blonde hair like her mum. Must be some recessive blond genetics in the Curious line?



Those baby items are the best. The baby stage used to be so boring to me (eat sleep poop, I know that's how it goes, but still), but now it's just adorable :)



Perseus grew up into a teen! He rolled Popularity as his aspiration, though I can't remember what his LTW is right now.



He looks a lot more like his dad than his brother does. I'm still vaguely bewildered by Orion's genetics, though I'm not complaining much, as he looks fine.



Pascal did some growing up himself as well. He's still some ways off from his LTW (become a Mad Scientist), but with the kids being able to take care of themselves now, he'll have plenty of time to devote to his studies.



It's safe for him to stargaze at night again now, as well :P



Birthday time for Evelyn! She looks like a miniature Erin from this angle. The Curiouses are a rather hectic household to play, with all those sims, and the introduction of a new toddler won't change that anytime soon.


The Loners



Ajay's good friends with Kristen Loste, and her pregnancy has made him realise that he hasn't got a lot of time left to start a family of his own.



Luckily, Dina wholeheartedly agrees with him.



Didn't take them long either :)



Now Dina's pregnant with his child, Ajay figures he has to do the right thing, and asks her to marry him. It'll be a bit of a shotgun wedding, but who cares?



Certainly not Dina. She's way too busy discussing her dress, shoes and jewelry with her sister.



I seem to have forgotten to take pictures of the wedding. All of Dina's pregnant friends showed up, hit the champagne, then made a beeline for the bathroom where they got stuck trying to shoo eachother out, and eventually ended up peeing themselves. A classy affair, all in all.

At any rate, Dina's baby arrived soon afterwards. This little tot is Lucas Loner.



Work, work, work. This sums up the life of a Fortune Sim when they're played by me. I really should shake things up a bit in that respect, but I'm not entirely sure what Fortune Sims DO aside from working on their careers.
At any rate, Ajay skills while Dina takes care of the networking side of things. She's got more friends than a Popularity Sim by now :)



Cakes n Candles time for little Lucas.



He looks just like his daddy :) Bit of a warm outfit for Strangetown though, he'll sweat an eye out like that.



Much better! The other toddler is Evelyn Curious, who I teleported along with her mum, Erin, for a playdate. Lucas was more than happy to have someone to play with (as Ajay and Dina don't make fabulous parents in that respect, I'm afraid to say.)



Ajay's just about got enough time to teach his son the basics. He's a bit worried about the strange glow that Lucas developed after he fed him some of the milk that the nice alien gave to him, after hearing Ajay was a dad.



Ajay: "What the crap is this stuff? It won't even come off in the bath!"

Lucas has Dina's nose, seen from this angle :)



Ajay's got a new toy piece of equipment from the Intelligence Service. He picks up all sorts of hilarious things with it, judging by his face.



The Sims



That's Amin and Lola Sims, who moved out of the Smith household to strike out on their own. Lola wanted to get a pet, so they adopted the sole available cat, Bonkers.



Catnip!



And, uhm, Fortune Sim stuff was done. Amin writes novels alongside his journalism work, while Lola inexpertly hides behind the paper. They've got absolutely no interest in reproducing at all, so I won't foist a baby on them just because for some reason every couple needs one. Which they don't, for the record.
