Strangely Pleasant: Strangetown (Round 4.2)
Wrapping up Round 4 for Strangely Pleasant with this update. Sims ADHD is kicking in quite a bit at the moment. There's so much I want to do! A BaCC with my own rules! Another go at the Megahood, making over all the houses! The thing with the female Sim I posted a while ago! (I've actually been playing that already, but I'm not sure if I'll stick with it so I'm refraining from sharing for a bit)

I suffer from Tabula Rasa quite a lot. (Whenever I play the game for any length of time, I start to get annoyed at all the little mistakes and slip-ups I made along the way and get the urge to start over with a clean slate) I enjoy it, even if it annoys me that I can never stick with anything, but it does make for mighty confusing reading, I imagine. Sorry for that, guys!

Anyways, less with the blabbing and more with the pictures. To Strangetown!

The Curiouses

Old fart Pascal may be, but that doesn't mean he can't still kick Percy's ass in videogames.

Evelyn grew up in the hallway, because I suck at keeping track of birthdays. Sorry kid. She definitely looks interesting though.

She's taken over her uncle Vidcund's old greenhouse, where she plants vegetables and fruit. Her parents, firm believers in all things fastfood, don't really know what to think of that.

Perseus' time is also taken up by fertilising, hem hem. For those just tuning in, that's Lyra Burb, John's alien daughter.

Lazlo grew old, ignoring the birthday cake I had planted right next to him :( I guess he prefers the sparkly food.

Lazlo: "Well, it's no pizza, but I guess I could get used to this whole fresh food business."

Pascal got fired =/ He's been so busy taking care of the kids in the household (Erin and Lazlo didn't have a whole lot to do with Evelyn's raising) that he missed work just one time too many.

He grovelled to his boss to get his job back, but you can tell his heart isn't really in it. I hope he makes Mad Scientist soon so he can retire in peace and enjoy his kids.

Studying is still serious business in the Curious household.

Perseus: "Ahw man, I could be hanging out with Lyra instead of doing this stupid maths stuff."
Pascal: "Don't even think about it, young man. Homework first, pollination later."
Perseus: "Dad, eewwww!"

Evelyn doesn't escape a proper education, either.

Evelyn brought Diego Lothario home from school. Only a kid and already schmoozing up the ladies. You can totally tell he's only playing Mary Mack to amuse her.

Seems his tactics work :)

Lazlo: "Don't you mind that I've gone all grey and wrinkly, dearest?"
Erin: "Oh of course not darling."
Lazlo: "Well, that's..."
Erin: "If you die I'll just resurrect you!"

She totally could, you know. Though the household isn't very affluent. She could end up with a zombie Lazlo shuffling around, stinking up the place.

The Smiths

Moving on to the Smith household, where Chloe has developed a bit of a drinking problem.

I think it's to help her cope with her weight gain. She's been living the good life a bit too much, and hasn't got the patience to exercise the flab away again. (Whenever I direct her to exercise, she gives up after 5 minutes. Oh well.)

Jenny finally became Head of Staff, fulfilling her LTW! Congratz Jenny, time for retirement and enjoying your golden platinum years now.

To fill up her days, Jenny took up gardening. It reminds her of P.T., who spent so much effort in creating their green garden in the middle of a desert.

Chloe still gets told to exercise, in an effort to keep her away from the bar. That lady's such a lush! The reason why Chloe went back to being a redhead is that I've finally been able to implement my new, shiny downloads folder :) It only has maxis-matchy hair, and her old hairstyle was one of the ones to go.

Jenny's been holding some family get-togethers, inviting some of her old friends as well. Here's Jennifer Burb gushing over the happy couple that is Johnny and Ophelia.
Jennifer: "You kids should totally move into the city! It's really the place to be for youngsters like you!"
Johnny: "Uhm, I thought you guys moved to Pleasantview because the city sucked?"
Ophelia *whispered*: "Don't antagonise the nice old lady, dear. Just nod and smile."

The party gathers for dinner, where Ophelia bombards Jenny with questions about her career in Medicine.

Jill Smith, fresh from university, got a new look for the occasion :) She really cleans up well.

Darren Dreamer proving that he's the original party animal around here.

Chloe made it to the top of her career as well, earning her permaplat status. The whole 'worked hard and reached the top of the Slacker career' bit kinda cracks me up :P

In the category Finding Things for Chloe to Do, we've moved on to helping out Jenny with the gardening. Everything needs to be in order, as Jenny's inviting over the Gardening Club to request membership.

She got in, but didn't get a wishing well :(

Chloe's ready to start showing her years, but wanted to go out with a big birthday party bang. All the family was invited, as well as some of her more, ahem, intimate friends.

Chloe: "Oooohw my back!  What are YOU lot all cheering about?"

I took the opportunity to age up Chloe's main squeeze, Abe Cho, as well. Seeing as growing old kinda sucks, I moved him in to be Chloe's companion.

The Smiths still had one genie wish left from back in the day, which Abe snatched to wish Peace of Mind for himself.

Johnny and Ophelia being all cute dancing together :)

All in all, Jenny has a good life. Her children are in and out in the house constantly, and Chloe and Abe are always around as well. She's got her garden and pool, and the prospect of becoming a grandmother sometime soon.

The Lostes

Back at the Loste household, Ingrid has grown into a child. She looks quite a bit like her dad, Kennedy Cox.

Though she clearly has Kristen's nose.

Kristen's mechanical skills come in handy around the house occasionally. Leaking faucets, smoking computers and recalcitrant trash compactors hold no challenges for her.

Kenndy grew up quite happily. He doesn't really mind getting ignored in favour of the women in this household.

Kennedy: "Hey, I'm a townie with a weird nose. I'm already happy to get a family and some screentime, really."

Ingrid made friends with Camilla Lothario at some point, and invited over the entire household for some socialising. Kristen and Kennedy aren't that great at meeting new people, so this was a good opportunity to get some more acquaintances.

Little heartbreaker Diego Lothario wasn't left out, of course. He's so getting Romance as his aspiration when he grows up.

Kristen fulfilled her LTW one day after becoming an elder. Good on you, old girl.

Ingrid's birthday! Try not to die of excitement, you guys.

Here she is all grown up :) Definitely a lot of Kennedy in there. Ingrid rolled Popularity as her aspiration. Yay! Not another bloody fortune sim :P

She rolled the want to have her first kiss, so the first available townie was snatched up for some schmoozing.

Ingrid: "Why am I kissing this bozo again? We've only known eachother for an hour or so!"

You're the one who rolled the want, it didn't include guidelines as to the cuteness of your victim, so quit complaining.

Ingrid delighted me when her LTW was rolled shortly afterwards: Become a Cult Leader. Awesome! She immediately got a makeover to reflect her life's aspiration. I think it really suits her :)

That's it for Round 4 :) No idea when I'll be back with the next update. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it !
