I play with a whole wad of hacks myself (467 to be precise, wow!) and while most bend gameplay a bit, they really don't break the rules in my opinion. I've got quite a few that make the game harder as well (no 20k handouts, no inheritance, harder jobs/less money...) Just keep in mind the game's supposed to be fun, and if you can live with some rules being bent, who's going to care? :)
