BaCC: The Lovelace Family
I might possibly have forgotten one teensy tiny unimportant thing about one of the Lovelace sisters. More specifically, Lily Lovelace.

Following Felix wasn't the only motivation she had for leaving behind everything she knew, as she's been going through some 'changes' herself. She was initiated into the craft by old Mrs. Perkins back at home, without the knowledge of her sisters. One evening, Mrs. Perkins told her she'd had a premonition about a hairy young man setting out to found a town of his own, and that Lily would go with him. She instructed her that as a good witch, it would be her duty to watch over the community and see that it came to no harm.

Normally witches aren't supposed to advertise, but one of the things Lily - star pupil in many other fields - has always had trouble grasping is the art of subtlety.

Lily rolled the want to earn some Cooking skill, while Rose (as I mentioned earlier) wanted to brush up her Mechanical skills. She outed herself as a Tinkering fanatic within seconds of picking up the skillbook, which earned her place as the town's technical whiz. To help her out with maxing out the skill, I gave her Knowledge as a Secondary Aspiration. It keeps her in the gold, even though she'd rather go out and seduce some men.

Violet, on the other hand, just wanted to play on the couch and juggle. This is the second time I'm playing a Pleasure sim (Lyra Burb in Strangely Pleasant being the first), and I don't really know what to do with her. She constantly wants to do short, inconsequential things, and mopes because noone wants to date her yet.

Catching butterflies is not a fulfilling lifestyle, Violet.

It wasn't until Felix dropped by and Violet snatched him to hang out a bit that she divulged her secret aspiration: to be a fashion designer and open her own clothing store.

Felix, while always happy to chat with his fellow settlers, was actually there for some canoodling with Lily. They've sadly gone down to two bolts now Felix' personality has settled into his werewolf one, but they still seem happy enough to be together. I'm chalking it up to the initial 'WOW' attraction having calmed down a bit.

Love is in the air...

Felix always looks so serious! Lighten up, McGrumpyPants.

Rose has been trying to put the moves on Arthur, but he feels extremely uncomfortable around her.

Arthur: "Uhm, I'm flattered, really, I mean you're a gorgeous woman, but, ah, aheh, I mean... Just no."

She seems to be more succesful with Teddy Babbling. He's really sweet and shy, but very flattered to get such an outgoing girl's attention (never mind that's because he's quite literally one of the only men available). She's swiping him off his feet :)

Lily keeps a close eye on the proceedings though, seriously cramping the possible-couple's style.

Rose: "Will you get out of my hair already, Lils?!"
Lily: "My dearest sister, I can't think what you could possibly be referring to. I'm simply enjoying the delicious smell of freshly-made pancakes!"

She does that good-witch fluttering all the time. Such a goody two shoes.

Lily: "I'm so proud of you for keeping my sister out of your pants! Trust me, this will do wonders for your reputation."
Rose (offscreen): "HEY! I heard that!"

Lily's attention temporarily diverted, Teddy and Rose use the opportunity to get in their first kiss. Somehow, they managed to get two bolts together. Must be Rose's secondary aspiration that does it?

Poor Violet really misses city life, and is having it the hardest trying to adjust. Lily has her good witch mission, and Rose was instructed by Felix to work out how to get a generator and a water purifyer running. But Violet doesn't really have anything to occupy herself with.

Violet: "Hey guys! Guys! Look at me! Guys! Look at what I can do!"
Lily: "Yes Violet, very amusing."
Violet: "YOU'RE NOT EVEN LOOKING!"

Rose got herself a new accessory: a pair of glasses. Her sisters know perfectly well that she doesn't need glasses, she just wants to look more intellectual. Also, one of Teddy's turn-ons is glasses, and Rose hopes he'll like her even better when she's wearing them.

Davin came over for the sole purpose of insulting Lily. You should be so glad she's a good witch, mister.
Davin isn't exactly nice, but it's not like he's a huge grouch either. Felix has no nice points whatsoever, and he behaves perfectly well around other Sims, though his Popularity aspiration might have something to do with that. Davin on the other hand, with his 4 nice points, swanks around like he owns the place, telling everyone exactly what he thinks of them and picking fights with anyone too nice or shy to retaliate. In short, he's a bully. I really hadn't envisioned himself like that, but there you go.

Violet: "Rope skipping! Yay! This is so much fun! I'm having fun! This place is fun!"

Violet: "Who am I kidding? THIS PLACE SUCKS!"

First aspiration failure in town! I just couldn't keep Violet happy, what with having to manage her sisters as well and having to steer Rose clear of Felix, who she's been rolling inappropriate wants for.

I don't think so, young lady! (Arthur rejected her for a flirt, and yet she still fears getting engaged with him. Bit full of ourselves, are we?)

The invisible-to-everyone-else Therapist dropped by to fix up Violet a little.

It still left her in a bit of a mood though.

Violet: "And what are YOU looking at, Mr. Mintface?"
Teddy: "Whoa! Easy there, tiger."

The Therapist suggested Violet take up a hobby, and seeing as Arts & Crafts is her OTH and she wants to be a fashion designer, Sewing was the obvious choice. Violet happily sat down sewing potholders, and now rolls regular wants to gain badges, sew projects, and the like. Crisis averted!

Rose worked really hard this week, maxing out her Mechanical skill on Sunday evening. I'm willing to bet she's just doing it to impress Felix, who she still seems to harbour a crush on. They're already Best Friends, which means that Electricity and Running Water are now unlocked for the town!

Some Lily and Felix smoochies, because I think they're precious together :)

Violet looks as surprised as I am that she'd actually pick up a book. Rose really deserves a nap after the long hours she pulled making sure the town has water and electricity. I'm proud of ya, kid.

All in all, a rather succesful week for the Lovelace sisters.  Thanks for  reading! :)
