Starting off this update is Rose Lovelace, who has something to tell Teddy Babbling.

Rose: "Uh, Teddy? Meet your daughter..."

Teddy takes it well enough, cooing over little Ivy like having a surprise daughter is a fun present rather than a life-changing event. He insists that Rose and Ivy move in with him, which Rose is more than happy to do. Another pair of hands to change nappies is nothing to be sneezed at, after all.

Combining Teddy's knowledge of robotics with Rose's natural instinct for mechanics has produced this beauty. Now Teddy can work towards maxing out that Logic skill, so he can become the town's leading scientist (not too difficult if you're the only scientist, but yeah.)

He doesn't shirk his parental duties, either. Nom nom green milk *shudder* (I found a replacement thanks to you guys, so hopefully from next week onward babies will be able to drink non-radioactive milk!)

Ivy grows up into a toddler, sans cake because I still suck. That blue checkered dress is too cute for words, so she gets to keep it for now.

She's got Teddy's black hair, but Rose's grey-blue eyes. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of alien eyes, but the blue-grey actually works really well with her skin.
Another great lookingd toddler! This town sure has won the genetic lottery.

Ivy taking her first steps with mommy Rose encouraging her. Rose makes a pretty good mom for a Romance sim.

But that's not to say that the family life is what she's always dreamed of, and despite being happy enough with Teddy, a Romance Sim's mind will occasionally get the tendency to wander...
Rose: "I wonder how Davin's doing...?"

Davin hasn't been doing too well, managing to ostracise himself from most of the group of settlers. For some reason, noone wants to see his point in any of his grievances, and Felix got so upset with him at the last town meeting that he actually threatened to kick Davin out. The nerve! Myra has been on his case about his feud with Nate lately as well, which just irritates him even more. That... creature is an abomination against nature! Surely, someone as in touch with nature as Myra should be able to see that? And that stupid pressure group he wants to set up, the bloody 'Rights for the Differently Alive'... What a joke!
To top it all off, he's just been demoted at work for poor job performance. Davin Greengrass is not a happy camper right now.

Myra has been so busy with playing school mistress and talking to the plants in her garden lately that he hardly gets to see anything of her. Sometimes he suspects she'd rather talk to her fruit trees than to him.

The only one who's been nice to him lately, aside from Arthur's vague attempts to get him to reconciliate with Nate, has been the lovely Rose Lovelace. He knows he's a married man, but Myra's been so absent lately, and Rose hasn't done anything to rebuke him, so...

Oh dear, this isn't going to end well.

Myra: "It sure is nice to be able to go off to work in the morning without having to worry about your man kissing some floozy or other!" *hums*

Cordelia got a haircut, taming her curls slightly. I think of her as having that annoying in-between hair that children get when one of their parents has curls and the other straight hair. I have that kind of hair. It's sort of wavy and never lies the way you want it to.

Stephen hard at work on an essay, "What I want to be when I grow up'. I really love his face, it'll be interesting to see how he grows into it.
Stephen: "... ultimately making me the leader of the New World Order. And after that, I will start up my own space programme and build an armada to invade neighbouring planets. I will be known as The Mighty Stephen, Conqueror of Worlds!"
Keep on dreaming, Stevie.

Myra making pancakes for the kids. She keeps rolling wants to have more children, but at least she doesn't ignore her already existing kids in favour of her baby wants. Some Family Sims more resemble an assembly line than a devoted mother/father.

Despite Davin moaning she doesn't give him enough attention, he got her up the duff again. Soon, the neighbourhood will be taken over by an army of black-haired, green-eyed children.

Despite having quite different personalities (Cordelia's a little sweetie with 7 nice points, while Stephen sports a very non-surprising 1), the Greengrass kids get along well and do most of their activities together. They're more or less in charge of the gardening now, taking over from Myra who's busy with being a teacher and coping with her latest pregnancy.

I'm not sure whose bright idea it was to give Stephen a pair of gardening shears, though.

Domestic life for the Greengrass family is almost idyllic. Grumpy Stephen loves his equally grumpy dad!

Pillowfights...

Learning new skills...

Family breakfast...

Perfectly idyllic, if it weren't for the fact that Davin's holding it on with another woman. ACR seemed to think that Davin/Rose shenanigans were the way forward, and Rose certainly isn't going to complain, with her LTW to Woohoo 20 Sims.
I'm not sure how they're managing to avoid Myra, who's on pregnancy leave. So far they've been able to dodge her and make out whenever she left the room for five minutes.

Myra decided to give birth outside the front door. All the family, neighbours, and whoever happened to wander by at the time got a good look at the proceedings.

Glad to see you've got your priorities straight, Davin. -_- The newest addition to the Greengrass family is Hannah, who has Myra's black hair and blue eyes.

Cordelia's birthday came soon after. Davin wasn't present for the festivities, as he was snogging Rose outside the frontdoor. That man has no shame.

Gorgeous!

Even more so after a quick makeover :) I hadn't expected for Cordelia to grow into such a great-looking Sim, those cheeks of hers were worrying me.

Shortly after Cordelia's makeover, I noticed Myra crying in a corner, and it didn't seem to be from happiness and pride at her daughter being all grown-up.

Of all the times to choose to start making out with your maitresse in front of your wife, you go for your daughter's birthday, Davin? Classy. Real classy. I'm starting to wish I had a cowplant handy for the likes of you. ><

Myra's normally a very easy-going, sweet kind of Sim. But confronted with her husband's unfaithfulness, her inner angry wildcat is coming out.
Myra: "YOU! I always tried to think the best of you, despite of what an ass you've been the entire time we've been in this town, but THIS? I never expected you to be capable of such cruelty! In our own house! IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN!"

Those are the most well-deserved slaps I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing in my game. Justice, thy name is Myra.

Davin seems Shocked and Appalled. Is this his meek little Myra? He hadn't exactly planned on finding out about him and Rose, but he always sort of figured that if she did, he'd give her a grand apology and she'd just forgive him.
Bit of a miscalculation there, Davin. Hell hath no fury, remember?

Myra: "I've had enough. I don't even recognise the man I married anymore."

Myra: "I want you OUT! You get half an hour to pack, and then I want you gone. For good. And take your floozy with you! I hope she was worth it!"
Audience: *Cheering madly from the sidelines*

Myra: "Ugh, I don't know what I ever saw in you."
Davin: *BAAAWWLLLLL*
Rose: "Mmmm, cake!"

Myra: "And as for YOU!"

Myra: "Don't think Teddy won't be hearing about this."
Rose: "I, but... Myra, you can't..."
Myra: "TRY ME!"

Back at the Babbling residence, Myra has indeed informed Teddy about his girlfriend's straying.
Teddy: "I can't believe you! And with DAVIN of all people? We have a kid, Rose! If you expect us to act like a family, you might start acting like you have one yourself!"
Rose: "We... we were just kissing. Nothing else happened, I swear!"

Teddy: "Save it, sister. It's the principle of the thing, and frankly, I'm starting to believe you don't have any."

Rose: "I SWEAR! It was just kissing! It was stupid, I don't know why I did it, I DO want to be a family! With you! And Ivy! You have to believe me Teddy... please?"

Teddy: "Oh for... FINE. You get one more chance. But that's it, Rose. I'm not going to waste my time with someone who can't make a commitment, not even for her daughter."

Rose: "I promise! I won't... I'll never do anything like that again. On my honour as a girl scout. See this? This is my commitment face. I'm committed!"
Teddy: "... you were a girl scout?"

Realising how close she's come to losing everything she never realised she had, Rose vows to herself that her days chasing after men are over. She loves Teddy, and she loves her daughter, and she's not going to risk anything getting between her and them anymore.
Her outlook on life profoundly changed, she decides to take on Knowledge as her first aspiration.
(What are your 'rules' on changing a Sim's aspiration? I only tend to change mine when they have some sort of life-changing experience, or when they act completely contrary to their current aspiration and a secondary one isn't going to cut it.)

Life goes on for the Babblings. Teddy is still absorbed in his scientific studies, though you have to wonder what he's looking at through that telescope during the day.

Ivy's growing like a little green cabbage, but she's an extremely shy little girl, with only 1 outgoing point. She gets that from her dad.

The weather is getting colder, and the settlers are starting to dress up warm to keep out the chill. Wooden houses aren't great isolation against colder temperatures, but it will be a while before they can start constructing proper houses instead of these temporary shacks.

Ivy got herself an adorable set of bear pyjamas, which she promptly baptised by playing in the toilet while wearing them.

Teddy maxed out his logic skill! You know what that means, he can now start out in the Science career as a Test Subject. Well, without any willing volunteers, I suppose he has to test his inventions on himself...

Nate came over to visit his little niece. He really dotes on her :) Here he is putting her to bed after a long day of playing peekaboo.

Dinner with Rose is a bit awkward (Teddy being at work and therefor unable to join them). Nate tries not to judge, but he worries about Rose and hopes she won't hurt his younger brother again.

She really seems to have had a change of heart though, and she's not the irresponsible young woman anymore that he first met. It puts him at ease, and they manage to make a nice evening out of it.

Teddy: "Honey, I'm home! Mmm, what smells good?"
Sorry for the long-ish update, but hope you enjoyed reading anyway :) One more update for this week, following the adventures of Nate and Anna, and after that I'll post an updated cast list for the town. Hopefully by then I'll finally have decided on a name for the town, as well.
