The Buttons' week flew by compared to the older, established families, as they don't have a whole lot to do just yet aside from working on their careers and making new friends.
Liam seems to be quite popular with the ladies of Riverside Hollow. Such a gentleman, and good-looking to boot! Don't forget you swore off your Romance Sim way, Rose, I can see the looks you're throwing him.

Unperturbed by her husband being surrounded by potential cougars, Kate sets out towards the river most days to fish. She'll need a Golden Fishing badge to enter the Oceanography career, after all. Besides, the food stocks they brought along won't last forever, and there's a good meal on fish. Provided she can catch any anytime soon, that is.

Their hasty move to Riverside Hollow after their whirlwind wedding doubles as a honeymoon of sorts, and they seem determined to enjoy it as such as well. I swear these two are at it like rabbits.

Just a random pic of Kate looking cute :)

Liam's keen journalistic senses have been tingling ever since they arrived in the town.
Liam: "It was really weird, you know. I could swear I saw sparkles out of the corner of my eye, and then all of a sudden I felt great! And that nice Fenwick lady kept smiling at me like she knew I did. It's like... this town is magical, or something."

Kate: "Are you trying to tell me she put some sort of spell on you?"

Liam: "It isn't unheard of, you know. There's plenty of reports from Twikkii Island and the likes where magic is still regularly practised. And I heard through the grapevine that they've got two sorcerous sisters over in Belladonna Cove..."

Kate: "The way the two of them were looking at you honey, I think they had more ways in mind to make you feel great than just magic."'

The Buttons moved into the old Greengrass house, and Kate has taken over tending the garden that Myra left behind. She really enjoys being outdoors, whether it's fishing or taking care of the fruit trees.

She's getting better at this fishing malarkey as well, and a Bronze Fishing badge can't be far off now.

Friendships are formed in the evenings, as the town's inhabitants drop by to welcome the new settlers. Liam and Kate get on well enough with the younger Sims. Arthur's the youngest of the original settlers, if quite a bit older than Liam and Kate. He's young at heart as well, and to the surprise of absolutely noone is the first to befriend them.

Kate, on the other hand, has found a new best friend in Cordelia Greengrass. They immediately took a liking to eachother, and have gotten very close over the course of the week :)

Liam's in for a bit of a shock when town founder Felix drops by for a visit, and instead of the mild-mannered gentleman he remembers meeting with when he first moved in, some hairy monster shows up at his house.

Felix: "Hah, quit freaking out, man! It's me, Felix! You remember me don't you? We talked about your application to come and live in Riverside Hollow, you met my wife the other day?"
Liam: "Uhm, you didn't look quite this hairy back then..."
Felix: "Oh yeah, sorry about that, forgot to mention it. Everyone's just so used to it by now, you know? It kind of slipped my mind."

Felix: "Just a spot of lycantrophy, don't worry about it. I certainly don't bite!' *manly hug*
Liam: "I really wish you hadn't said that..."
Poor Liam :D At least it'll give him plenty to write about when he has to send in his first column to the SimCity Chronicle.

Kate's dedication to fishing has paid off with a shiny new Silver Fishing badge.

Life can't be all work and no play however, and they've started frequenting the Four Corners in the evenings. Kate loves to sing and Liam's more than happy to accompany her with a bassline.

Hey! What are you guys...?

Oh dear gods, just get a room you two :P
