The Babblings are not the most sociable of families, always having concentrated on the gathering of knowledge and skills. They've always been there to help out the town though, Rose through her skills in mechanics and engineering, and Teddy through his numerous inventions and research. Week Seven started off with an achievement to crown Teddy's career in science: he finally made it to Mad Scientist, fulfilling his Lifetime Want. A windfall with one of his inventions netted him a nice §70k shortly after, of which he sent §50k to Felix, instructing him to use the funds to build a Research Center for the town, under his supervision.

Rose had her elder transformation shortly after Teddy's promotion. She aged quite gracefully, and looks like a sweet granny :) Rose already fulfilled her LTW (Max Out 7 Skills), so the Babblings are ready to enjoy their golden years in comfort together.

Ivy, on the other hand, is only just starting out her life. She's always been a bookworm, just like her parents, and after the sudden flu epidemic that left the town as a collection of sniffly noses, hot foreheads and lung-wracking coughs, she decided to take up the responsibility of becoming the town's doctor. There were plenty of medicine books in the collection her father brought with him when the settlers first arrived here, and after having read up on Physiology as much as she could, she now makes her daily rounds checking up on everyone and making sure they stay healthy.

Rose and Teddy have got plenty of time on their hands, and decided to devote it to their hobbies. Rose has always been fond of tinkering, and has taken over Teddy's old workstation, where she tries her hand at making some of the robots that he sketched out.

Teddy on the other hand has always lived and breathed science, and spends most of his nights studying the stars. He's still hopeful that someday, his pollinator will pay him a visit, and maybe even give him a ride in a spaceship. He can't think of anything he'd like more in the world.

Ivy has found a different kind of entertainment, in the form of Rajat here, an enthousiastic teen who has been hanging around the settlement for a while now. Teddy, however, does not approve of the young man in the slightest (and has been poking and insulting him whenever Ivy invites him over).

Not that Ivy cares :)

Despite their different opinions on boys, Ivy is very close with her parents. They've got a lot to teach her, and she's more than happy to learn what she can.

Party time! The Babblings would stay huddled in their house on their own if I let them, so inviting over Ivy's friends, or their large extended
family once a week staves off the isolation.

Freesia: "AHAHA WHAT ABOUT THAT WEATHER THEN EH?" Your flirting techniques require some polishing, Free. Rose: "Can't... reach... phone..."
Violet and Lily, youngest and oldest of the Lovelace sisters respectively. Though Violet has started to show her age a bit more as well. I had Rose invite her sisters over for dinner, including their husbands and all the kids, and afterwards she got the memory of having had a Family Reunion. Huh? Never seen that before, but it's pretty neat :) Thus concludes the end of the week for the Babblings. Cheers for reading!
