Winter has once more come to Riverside Hollow, but this time around the settlers are much better equipped to deal with the drastic drop in temperatures. Their houses have been improved and insulated, and the Greengrasses have provided everyone with adequate stock to see them through the season. Warm clothes and hats have been delivered all the way from Sim City, and during autumn a rotation was set up to collect and chop firewood.  Riverside Hollow is ready for its hibernation.





The Fenwick family has gained a non-permanent member in the guise of Hannah Greengrass. She makes the trek through the snow almost daily to come and visit. Lily knows about her less than perfect home situation, and insists on inviting her over for meals. The twins are more than happy to have some company over that isn't family for a change, and Hannah has been flourishing under the attention. 



Fox in particular seems to enjoy Hannah's frequent visits. 







Flora has grown up quickly, probably helped by the extra responsibilities she has as her father's political assistant. She missed out on her birthday party as she was working late that day. She's quite the workaholic, in fact, shooting up the ranks of her career.

Townie Warren Muntz has been showing some interest in her before her adult transitioning. They've only got one bolt together, but what the hey. Welcome to adulthood, Warren!





They shared their first kiss shortly after. I can't say I'm very happy with them as a couple, my sims usually don't get involved unless they're at least two-bolters, but Flora doesn't seem to have any particular interest in any of the available men. I randomise the gender preferences of the town's sims, and Flora is definitely straight, otherwise I'd start finding a nice girl for her.



It doesn't help that Warren doesn't seem very discriminating when it comes to hitting on young women, and he's been trying to get lucky with her sister Freesia when she's not around. Ugh.



Flora thankfully doesn't have a whole lot of time for a relationship right now, as she's been taking over more and more of her father's responsibilities in the political field. Here she is off to work, looking all professional.



Freesia isn't doing too well in school. She prefers having fun and exploring to sitting down doing boring maths homework. While a knowledge sim, she's never been the bookish type, and prefers to go out there and discover things for herself.



She's been discovering the appeal of the other gender, for example.



First kiss! But doesn't that young man look oddly familiar...?



That's right, Mr. Rajat there is also involved with Ivy Babbling. Looks like the Fenwick sisters' love life is getting a bit complicated. 



What Freesia enjoys most of all is playing around as a werewolf. Her poor brother usually takes the brunt of her roughousing. He takes it well enough, but he really wishes she'd stop calling him 'the runt of the family'.



Fox spends quite a lot of time worrying about his girlfriend. He knows that Hannah isn't very happy with her family, and he wishes she could just come and live with him. It's not like her parents and sister care where she is or what she is doing anyway. Sometimes he dreams of stealing her away in the night, but he knows he's not that kind of hero.



He contents himself with making her time at his house as enjoyable as possible.





Felix and Lily's lives take more and more of a backseat to those of their children, but they really don't mind. They're enjoying their time together, and Felix has even started thinking out loud about his retirement.

 

Flora has been using her artistic skills to paint portraits of both her parents. She wants to give them as a surprise present for their Golden Anniversary, but she's also aware that they won't be around forever, and wants to have something to commemorate them.



Freesia has been getting very close with Rajat. They've got great chemistry together, and Rajat has even agreed to see Freesia excusively. She's still a bit suspicious about the time he's spending with her cousin Ivy, though. If she wants Rajat for herself, she'll have to make sure that their connection weighs a lot more heavy than whatever he has with Ivy...



Besides, she's been wanting to bite someone for ages now.



Oh dear...



Rajat fled into the night after being turned, and it doesn't take long for Felix to wrangle the truth out of his daughter after seeing her all distraught. Needless to say, he isn't very pleased with what she's done.

Felix: "I swore to myself that I'd never bite another person and throw their lives into chaos, like what happened to me. And now you're going around biting some poor defenseless boy?! Do you have any idea what you've done? How scared he must be?! I can't believe you'd be so stupid!"



Freesia: "Oh come on, it's not like being a werewolf is some kind of drama. And it's not like I ever got a choice in the whole matter! Didn't you ever wish mum was a werewolf as well, so you could spend the night together as well as the day?"
Felix: "I'm not sure that after what you did to him, Rajat will be wanting to spend any time together with you."
Freesia: "Of course he will! I know he will! He just ran away because the whole thing is new to him. He'll come back once he's sorted himself out! ... I hope."
