Winter for the Picklethorpes started off with Violet, the youngest of the original settlers, maturing into elderhood. She hasn't aged very gracefully and lost a lot of the good looks she had in her youth, but she tries not to let it get her down.

Her husband Arthur has recently been promoted to Police Chief. Which is a bit odd, seeing as he founded the police force in the first place, and in theory should have been Police Chief all along. It's best not to ask, I think.
He's always happy to come home to Violet, who usually gives him a warm welcome :)
Little Brie still spends most of her days painting. She's very creative and quite skilled for her age, and has been talking about her dreams of making art for a living. Violet and Arthur encourage her, but are a bit worried that she'll never get discovered in a town as remote as this.
Wensleydale, on the other hand, has been practicing his social skills in order to try and get himself a girlfriend. Erica Moretti there is not very impressed. Poor Wensley.
Arthur has been reading a lot of graphic novels lately, as he 'wants to get inspired to take law enforcement to the next level'. A noble striving, no doubt, but Violet put her foot down when she found him ready to jump from the first floor with one of her quilts tied around his neck.
Wensleydale and Hannah Greengrass have gotten pretty close recently. Hannah is very excited about his idea of opening his own restaurant. Hannah: "You're a great cook, but you need someone to take care of the practical side of things. We could be partners! You do the kitchen, and I'll play hostess and do all the administrative stuff. What do you say?"
Brie sneakily transitioned into a teen behind my back, and therefore missed out on her birthday cheesecake. She takes after her mother, rolled Pleasure as her aspiration. Her greatest wish in the world turns out to be becoming a Game Designer, a great way to apply her creative skills!

I felt for Brie missing out on the cake, so I invited over all of the town's teens for a birthday party. With the snow nice and thick outside, they decided to spend the afternoon having a snowball fight. Picspam ahoy!

Afterwards, Wensley whipped up some nice hot soup so they could get warmed up again.
Brie closed off the evening with some work on her portfolio.
Arthur spent most of the week with a new training schedule, pushing himself harder than he ever had before. The humiliation of his ineffectiveness against the Riverside Burglar still stings, and he won't rest until that villain has finally been caught and tried.

With all his preparation ready, Arthur finally decides to become the crimefighter that Riverside Hollow needs: Captain Hero! This calls for a neighbourhood party.
Violet: "My, I had no idea that that Riana was so... flexible."
Arthur: "My love, duty calls. If I don't come back... tell the kids I love them." Violet: "Just be careful, you big silly. And don't catch a cold out there in that ridiculous costume you had me make for you!"
Arthur: "Captain Hero..."

Arthur: "AWAAAAYYY!"
