Not that there are many alternatives around, something Cordelia is well aware of. A few of the Riverside Hollow sims have started their own vegetable plots, but most don't have the time to grow their own food. If she plays this well, her family could be rolling in simoleons before too long.

With her husband Victor off to teach the young minds of the town, the farming and childcare duties fall squarely on Cordelia's shoulders. She does splendidly though, juggling her farmwork and raising her daughter and doing both equally well.

Young Emily is a bright little thing, but easily distracted. She takes after her dad a lot in that regard. As your impeccable deducting skills have undoubtedly concluded already, Cordelia has another bun in the oven.

Bun, meet world! Cordelia gave birth to another blackhaired sproglet, this time a baby boy. The Greengrass genetics will soon take over the entire hood, and blond, brown and red hair will be a thing of the past.

The newest addition to the Greengrass family was named Robin, and duly doted on by his mother. So far Emily's claim to heirdom remains unchallenged.

Talking about Emily, she had her childhood transitioning soon after her brother was born. She grew up well, a testament to her mother's dedication. Not bad, Delia. You can be proud of your kid.

Emily is a very neat, outgoing and nice sim, but she's a bit lazy and not very playful. It looks like she inherited her father's nose, which is a nice change from the usual Greengrass profile.

Not long after, Cordelia fell pregnant again. All ACR kids, too. Apparently the countryside is beneficial for sims' fertility?

Being a schoolteacher, Victor is perfectly suited to help Emily with her homework. He's not above giving her some hints occasionally, either. Hey, if he can't give his kid some advantages now and then, what kind of dad would he be?

Things that go bump in the night: now including Cordelia.

I completely missed Robin's birthday, but it doesn't seem to bother him much. He's got a very sunny personality for a toddler, and hardly ever whinges. More kids should be like you, Robin.

Victor, on the other hand, had been whingeing to have a pet bird for ages. I finally gave in, and purchased this handsome little fellow for him. Victor named him Polly, in a striking display of originality.
Victor: "Does Polly want a cracker? Polly want a cracker? Huh? Does Polly want a cracker?"

Emily and the Button twins get along like a house on fire. It's great that there's enough children in the hood at the same time again for them to socialise together. We don't need more Brie's, after all.

Emily likes Roxanne well enough, but her BFF is Ryan. He's invited over to dinner for most nights, as he tags along with Emily whenever she comes home from school.

Ryan: "Is it true that you've got a cleaning lady who is a ghost?"
Emily: "A cleaning lady? Oh no, that's just grandma. She likes to help out around the house."

So she does. Hi Myra! Always nice when you visit from beyond the grave.
Myra: "The state of this shower, I thought I raised Delia better than that. Hmpf."

Cut your daughter some slack Myra, she's highly pregnant after all. And ready to give birth in front of her daughter and the cockatoo cage.

Another baby boy for the Greengrasses! That's it though Cordelia, you're going on birthcontrol from now. The newest addition to the family is named Colin. Cordelia wanted to call him Davin at first, after her father, but Victor displayed an out of character amount of wisdom by argueing that it might not be the best idea to get their youngest son associated with the grumpy, cranky old man who most the villagers despised.

With the temperatures picking up, Cordelia can spend more time outside teaching Robin the basics in life. It's nice to see him toddle between the apple trees, but she's got to make sure he doesn't end up in the duckpond.

Sunday closes off the week with a family dinner. Cordelia wanted to try and smooth things over with her brother and sister, but the whole experience was more awkward than warm and homely. Hannah clearly resented her, and Stephen took her side in the matter, which came as a bit of a shock to Cordelia. She and Stephen had always been close, but now he was distant and even slightly hostile.
Not the best way to end the week. Hopefully it won't be a portent for things to come...
