BaCC Week 10: The Greengrass Family
The Greengrasses recently spent a large chunk of their money and time on building a new farmhouse, as well as a barn to store their goods. (I've been looking for some decent farm animal downloads as well, any suggestions?)

It's only a small farmhouse, and they will probably have to expand again once the family grows larger, but for now it comfortably houses them all.

Mater Familias Cordelia is still firmly in charge of most of the farming. Victor and little Emily help out from time to time, but her green thumb is what really makes the crops flourish.

When all the farm work is done for the day, her next duty starts: taking care of her children and making sure they have a good start in life. With three little kids running around the house, filling diapers, crying for attention and generally making a mess, this has become a lot harder than when Emily was an only child.

The strain of combining motherhood with her greengrocer's ambitions is taking its toll on Cordelia, and she seems more tired every day.

Luckily Victor is there to back her up when he comes home. He and Emily are thick as thieves, and often play together while Cordelia busies herself with their little boys.

Robin quite likes playing with the dollhouse as well :)

Baby Colin had his toddler birthday, which will definitely up the workload for Cordelia and Victor. As a baby, he didn't do much more than eat, poop and sleep, but as a toddler he will become much more demanding.

Demanding for a bath, for example.

Victor: "Yeesh!"

Emily is doing extremely well in school, largely thanks to the extra tutoring her dad gives her. As a knowledge sim, he tries to instill her with the same values that he holds high: work hard, always be ready to learn new things, and keep an open mind.

He works tirelessly himself to require the skills he needs to advance in his career. The sims of Riverside Hollow could really do with a University, after all.

Birthday time comes around again, this time for little Robin.

He looks a lot like Cordelia due to the Greengrass nose, but it looks like he inherited Victor's eyes. Cute as his little button-nose.

Emily is happy to have another kid around to play with. The age difference between her and twins Ryan and Roxanne has become more pronounced now they're teens and she still lingers in childhood, and they don't see a lot of eachother anymore. The isolation of the Greengrass Farm doesn't help much either for social contacts, as the household hardly ever gets visitors.

Of course Victor would study the effects of vegetables, living on a farm and all that.

Well done indeed, Victor! Due to this chancecard, I'm now allowing pesticides to be used in Riverside Hollow. (I often tweak the rules if I feel it fits in the story or a situation calls for it. They're more like guidelines, really.)

Time for Emily's teen birthday! Things are moving along a lot faster now I've switched agemods, and I like it. The BaCC could use a little more momentum. I really enjoyed spending so much time with my settlers, but it will be nice to see their grandchildren and greatgrandchildren sometime soon.

Felix might be the ex-mayor, but apparently he still cares enough about his constituents to make the trek all the way to the farm for Em's birthday :) A happy werewolf glams up every occassion, I find.

Pretty as a peach! I really love the way she turned out, she looks vaguely awkward and a bit tomboy-ish.

Cordelia and Victor bought Emily a chincilla for her birthday. She's called Chichi and drives everyone crazy by running around in her treadmill at all hours of the day (and night).

Emily trying out the pesticides that her dad had left over from his research. Her mother expects her to take over the farm when she's old enough, so she'd better get some practice in already.

Ryan and Roxanne decided to drop by to congratulate Emily on becoming a teen. It was a happy reunion, and they were able to pick up where they left off pretty smoothly, without any bad feelings about the period they didn't stay in touch.

Ryan: "Look at you, all grown up!"
Emily: "I know, right? It seems like it just happened overnight!"

I had great hopes for getting Emily and Ryan together, but they don't have a single bolt together. They've become best friends again, but no chemistry at all, negative or positive. Oh well.

Victor earned himself a shiny gold-trimmed bookcase through his work as a teacher. Hopefully that should speed up his progress towards Education Minister a bit. He recently got promoted to College Dean of Students thanks to his countless hours of study.

Colin had his birthday as well, but I seem to have forgotten to take pictures of him as a child. He looks pretty much identical to Robin anyway. They could be twins.

Colin and Robin's new big-boy room. They're both highly interested in science and the paranormal, and are two serious little nerds.

Emily brought a new friend home from school on the last day of the week; Noëlle Evans, one of the new teens in town. They spent the entire afternoon together and seem to get along really well.

Noëlle stayed until late in the evening, hanging out with Emily on the swingset :)
