Last week, Nate became Sim Nation's first zombie Business Tycoon. Doo Peas Corporation is now mostly run by his underlings, which gives him more time to focus on his family (while the money keeps rolling in merrily, of course).
The Babbling's homelife is busy and hectic, with three adoptive children running around, but Anna wouldn't have it any other way.

I completely missed Jia's birthday in all the hustle and bustle. She grew up well, and is a happy and energetic child. She gets along well with her big sister Meadow, who she now shares a room with.

Meadow has discovered the joys of music, and has become quite the piano virtuoso. She's practically glued to the keys, to the point where her mother had to take over her little garden before all the plants died.

Nate has further been exploring his parental side by spending a lot of time with little Brandon. He's already taught Brandon to talk, and is now working on his motoric skills. Come to think of it, the Babbling children would probably have rather odd diction, being taught to talk by a zombie and a robot.
Brrraaaaaaiinnss *beep*.

Nate's newfound paternal instincts are starting to stretch towards the girls as well, even if for now they're limited to helping out with their homework.

Jia's bestest bud is Robin Greengrass, who comes over to play frequently. He brings along his brother Colin occasionally as well, but Jia and Robin are the same age and seem to prefer eachother's company.

Meadow prefers to spend time on her own, or with her mother. Anna insists that Meadow finishes the little garden project that she started, but has offered her help to wrap it up as well. It'll be good to have some fresh food in the house at any rate, seeing as she's been planning another expansion of the family.

Social Worker: "Will these people ever stop adopting toddlers?! I have to drive all the way out to this godsforsaken speck of nowhere every time that lady robot's hormones-which-she-hasn't-got kick in gear."
Quit your whining, Nate has compensated the agency handsomely for every one of them. Let's just hope they'll pay your gas bill.

Besides, Anna has reached the limit of children she can handle without collapsing from exhaustion anyway.

The latest and last sprout of the Babbling family tree is called Michael. He seems to like chewing on dolls, blocks, and pretty much anything else he can get his little teeth in.

And he looks simply darling when asleep. Awww...

Brandon's birthday wasn't to be missed, and Nate made sure he got the full cake-and-annoying-partytrumpets treatment.

He even bought him a little white tux for the occasion :)

Daddy's little wonder grew up into a fine looking young boy! He looks all distinguished. Brandon is extremely outgoing and very playful, but lazy and a bit mean as well. The latter should suit him well if he ever wants to make it big in the business world, and maybe Nate and Anna can encourage him to be a bit more active.

Sideview-with-violin, because I love his nose :)

Meadow and Brandon don't get along very well, unfortunately. Brandon's meanness might have something to do with that, but maybe they're just too different and there's too much of an age gap to overcome.
Meadow: "Go take a hike, daddy's boy!"
Brandon: "You're just jealous I got that huuuuge cake."

No cake for Meadow, but she grew up into a gorgeous teen nonetheless. Meadow rolled Pleasure as her aspiration, which suits her sloppy, outgoing and lazy nature.

Music is still her greatest passion in life, and she likes to sing along with the songs she plays on the piano. She's been begging her dad to install a karaoke machine in the Four Corners, but he doesn't feel like it would suit the establishment very well.

Brandon and Jia get along much better, being closer in age. The long, hot summer days are perfect for playing catch outside on the lawn...

... and socialising with the other kids in the neighbourhood.

Not a lot of pictures of Anna and Nate, which is because they've been working 24/7 to raise little Michael, who proved to be quite the handful. At least they can take a little breather soon, as it's his child birthday.
(The young man with questionable fashion sense is a friend of Meadow's, who snuck into the family-only birthday party and was only allowed to stay because he brought his own annoying rattle. Meadow seems to be sweet on him.)

Michael grew up and astonished me when I noticed he has pale purple eyes! Let's get you out of that drab brown t-shirt though, kid.

Brandon: "Splendid! We really needed another boy to balance things up in the house. You and I are going to prank the dickens out of those girls!"
Michael: "Why do you talk like that?"
Brandon: "Whatever do you mean, old chap?"
Michael: "Yeah, like that."
Having a conservative, old-fashioned zombie father teach you how to talk doesn't come without its drawbacks, I guess.

Unfortunately, the summer holidays are over way too soon and it's back to school with the Babbling kids! Hope you enjoyed this little update :)
