Age mod: 4 days = 1 year
Hey guys! I've made a realistic age mod where 4 Sim days equal one human year, aka 1 day = 3 months. I've also made a mod that changes the length of the seasons to 1 day, so now your sims can have all four seasons in a year! This ratio also works perfectly for pregnancies, as 3 days of pregnancy equals 9 months :)

This is the shortest really-pernickity-realistic agemod you can get, if you want to include the seasons and the default time for pregnancies, but it still gives your Sims lifespans that are much longer than the standard EAxis ones. One Sim life from birth to age 65 comes to a whopping 260 days played! Perfect if you want to spend lots of time with your sims, probably not that useful for Megahoods and Legacies (though who am I to dictate you how to play?)

EDIT: Please redownload if you've downloaded this file! I forgot to update the elder stage. This has now been fixed.

Oddly enough, I just created a new neighborhood where I'm trying to play in "real time" and I have 4 Sim days = 1 year. I'm already using an aging mod, and play with aging off and subtract days manually, but your seasons mod will definitely come in handy!

Lucky coincidence! :) I know aging mods in many lengths have been done, I just tuned this one to get it exactly like I want it. But nobody had done the 1 day seasons as far as I know.

This sounds really good, and I think when I start playing without writing a story I'll use this :) I don't suppose you know how it works with inTeenimator?

The only thing this mod alters is the days left every sim has on transitioning into a new lifestage. The only way this would conflict with the inTeenimator is if that affects the same BCON as these mods do, which I find unlikely, and I haven't come across any comments in other agemods that complain about it conflicting :)

If you've already downloaded this - please redownload! I forgot to update the elder stage to match the rest. This has now been fixed :)

Hi! I'm really excited about downloading this, I just have one question: how does this affect Plantsims? Because their lifespan is just toddler-adult-elder. Do they just follow the same time frame as regular Sims when using this mod? Sorry if this is a stupid question, it's just something that popped into my head. Thanks again for doing this, it was a great idea!

Don't worry about asking questions :) Yep, plantsims and plantsim toddlers have the same agespan as normal sims/toddlers with this mod. They *can* be set seperately from normal sim ages though. If you like, I can make a version with different plantsim ages, just let me know what you'd like them to be :)

Oh, thanks for answering so quickly! I'm pretty happy right now with having plantsims follow the same agespans as the regular sims.

Another question: how does this hack affect ACR? Especially when it comes to things like fertility arcs (is that the right word? arcs? as in, the chances of success with sims automonously trying for a baby, etc)? Because I know that's affected by the Sims age.

I really don't know how it affects ACR, if at all. You can set the chance percentages for TFB and things manually though, but I'm not familiar enough with all the ACR settings to be able to say what or how.

How does the seasons mod work out with harvesting crops?

Haven't really tried that, so I couldn't say :) I imagine they run as normal but you'll have to recalculate the optimal planting time so the plants are harvestable in the appropriate season. Snooty Sims has some tables on how many days it takes for which plant to grow, and what season is the best to harvest them in. They'll go dormant in winter but should wake up again in spring, afaik.
