What about all them Livejournal shenanigans then, eh? It seems to be more off than on at the moment. Seeing as I'm trying to create my new, streamlined, fabulous, perfect* (a girl can dream) downloads folder, and trying to catch up with various stories/legacies, that's really quite annoying. Not that I you guys don't already know that, anyways.

Either way, moving on to Round 4 in Pleasantview. Round 4 is wintertime, and we're starting out with the Pleasant family, who are experiencing their first snow.



* This would be a download folder with only content I really love (not might use it sometime somewhere maybe probably), all maxis-match, well varied, plenty of clothing options for every agegroup, and the inevitable 120 eye-searing recolours pared down to about 6 sensible ones. I'm getting there, but have a few problems with default replacement conflicts (I think I accidentally downloaded replacements for the same file for two child tops) and I can't find the offending files for the life of me. Grumble.




Daniel Pleasant spends his retirement writing romance novels (under a pseudonym, of course). The trashy Mills & Boons kind, with plenty of heaving bosoms and straining trousers.



Mary-Sue lets him get away with it because they actually sell very well.



Jeff's busy networking, and if he can manage to win some simoleons off his new-found friends, that's definitely a bonus. Skadi Beaker seems to be the new Marsha Breunig, as everyone and their dog brings her home from school.



Not that I mind. She makes the most awesome faces.



Mary-Sue wanted to throw an Anniversary party, and invited the family over for dinner and some quality time. Skadi invited herself, and I'm not entirely sure where Dina came from.
I so love that sitting on the floor to watch tv hack :)



John and Linus are a bit less fond of it. Maybe if you'd sit in front of the couch, boys?



The party was a roofraiser (!), and I'm so glad I kept these two together. They're really sweet :)



Mary-Sue's still desperately clawing her way to those 100.000$, and shuns no means to reach that end.

Brittany Parker (teenified): "I'm not sure Mrs. Pleasant, my dad's always told me that gambling leads you astray."
Mary-Sue:  *slyface*



Jeff's working hard to get a headstart in his chosen career, Law. He neglected his skills a bit when he was a child, so he has a bit of catching up to do.



To help him out, Mary-Sue made sure to get him into Private School. The headmaster didn't think dinner was that great (Mary-Sue's cooking still hasn't advanced much above spaghetti bolognese), but he liked the house and Daniel put the schmooze on him heavily, resulting in Jeff being accepted.



It's nearing the time where I'm not sure how much longer the elders are going to live, and seeing as I've got a No Inheritance mod in my game, I had Mary-Sue and Daniel allocate some of their funds to Lilith an Angela.

The Dreamers



The week started off with Brandi joining her husband in elderhood.



Which means she got to fulfill her LTW of having her Golden Anniversary :) Yay for platinum elders! They're so easy to mind.



Friends and family were invited over for dinner and some catching up.



Of course, Brandi had to show off her cooking skills. I love the way she looks as an oldie :)



Darren still hones his skills as an artist, and is thinking of opening an exhibition of his work.



Brandi has also taken up a creative pastime, but she's a bit less succesful.



I told you, Skadi is everywhere. I think I need to reroll her as a Popularity Sim.



Billie is getting better and better at creating robots, and built one to help her mum out around the house. Brandi's back isn't what it used to be after all. Billie will be leaving for university soon, and she doesn't want to leave her mum behind without some help.

The Burbs



Jennifer fulfilled her LTW! That's Darren's snowman in the background, the Burbs live opposite of the Dreamers in my hood :)



Sigmund/Carl Curious (I still can't tell them apart) came over after school. He seems simply fascinated by Lyra's green skin.



Linus loves the little minigolf thing his mum brought home from work.



Lyra: "When I grow up, I wanna be an astronaut! Then I'll fly to the stars and visit my alien mommy"
John: "Or, uhm, other daddy. The specifics are still a bit vague to me."



Lyra grew into a teen! She's a total knockout. She also got herself some alien contact lenses, which she claims help her get in touch with her extraterrestrial roots.



Well...



I guess they worked :P



More strangeness visits the Burb household, this time in the form of Mickey the Ghost Dog. I don't blame Jennifer for freaking out, those eyeballs in the seethrough head are frankly disturbing oO



John is still working hard to make it as Captain Hero. He'd probably be the laughing stock of superhero society. "What are you going to call yourself, the Striking Septuagenarian?"



Jennifer grew up as well. I approve of her choice of transitioning outfit. Goes well with the wallpaper, too.



Linus leaving for University. Don't have a lot of pictures of him because he mostly sits around quietly skilling.



When Lyra isn't getting in touch with her extra-terrestrial roots, she spends most of her time playing videogames. She's a Pleasure Sim, making her the first of that aspiration in my hood.



She's also been coming on to Perseus Curious, who seems pretty flattered by all that attention.

Lyra wanted to go on a date (do Pleasure sims ever want anything else?), so she took Perseus out to some of Pleasantview's dating hotspots. Here they are having dinner in a little restaurant on the corner of Main Street.



The night was continued in a local nightclub...







... and ended up in one of the hottubs. You can probably tell by Percy's huge grin what happened next :P



It's as well that Lyra was out of the house, as her parents decided to have a bit of quality time together, too :)
