Waking up to their first day in the new town are the Babbling Brothers, Nate and Teddy. They sorta kinda mostly owe their life to Felix' expedition, as they were trying to evade an angry mob holding pitchforks and torches back then. Teddy in particular is keen to help their new benefactor, and thinks his skills as an inventor will be a big bonus to the new town.
He hasn't really thought about what Nate could fill his days with. Back at home, he kept him hidden in the basement for fear of what the neighbours might have thought, but he's gradually come to realise that Nate is a lot more self-aware than your regular zombie. When alive, Nate had aspirations to become a great businessman and develop his own emporium. So Teddy has decided he'll let Nate play shop with some of his inventions, to keep him happy.

They get a lamp because Teddy's an inventor, and made that one while travelling to their destination.

Teddy trying to study while Nate makes a racket on the violin.
Teddy: "Could you at least not chew the bloody thing while you're playing it?!"
Nate: "Narrrfh"

Teddy's built his little robotics station at the back of the house, currently only sheltered against the elements by a roof and some temporary siding. Not the greatest environment to work with electronics, but it'll do for now.

Davin: "VENGEANCE SHALL BE MINE!" *cackle*
Good gods, and you aspire to become The Law around here one day? I hold my breath.

Nate has set up his shop with Teddy's help. It's just a little shack with a few shelves displaying Teddy's first tries at toy robots, but so far it's keeping him happy enough. Playing a Fortune Sim without any careers can be tricky, but Nate seems to be happy with his little homebusiness.
That lady is his first and only customer, seeing as I have no playable shoppers in my game. She's Brenda Methwyck, head of the Garden Club, in case it's of interest to anyone. She buys a lot of toy robots, as the game keeps dragging her back as the only available customer.

Why is operating a cash register so haaaaaarddd? D:

Myra Greengrass dropped buy with a present for Nate.
Nate: "Brrraaaaainss?"
Myra: "Tomatos! If you cook them up for a spagetthi bolognaise, you can pretend the pasta is brains and the sauce blood!"
Nate: "Murrrrhh."
Myra: "You're welcome!"

Teddy's getting more and more succesful with his tinkering. If only the town could get some electricity, he wouldn't be stuck crafting battery-operated toy robots, and actually make some useful bots.

Teddy: "That was really nice of Myra, bringing some food over. We'd almost run out what with you raiding the fridge at all hours."
Nate: "Nom nom nom."

Nate had his first inspection, and not-so-surprisingly he got a bad review. What did you expect, lady? The business is a little shack on his front lawn which barely keeps out the wind and rain, and he sells all the malfunctioning crap his brother thinks is worthless! What do you do in your free time, go around kicking over kid's lemonade stands?

Socialising with the locals seems to do Nate some good and gets him out of his shell. He's quite friendly with Rose Lovelace, the town's mechanical wonder, and happily natters away at her about... well, business mostly.
Nate: "Loooovely Rrrrrobooottss. Ver' cheeaaap. Hooourrrs ennertaiment."
At least his vocabulary is expanding past 'brraaainss', 'naaarffh' and 'muuurrrh'.

A travelling gypsy dropped by to present the brothers with a mysterious lamp, and left as quickly as she came. What could possibly be the meaning of this?

Genie Time! A huge stroke of luck for Nate, whose business couldn't possibly keep up with the higher and higher money wants he keeps rolling. His LTW is to earn 100.000§, and he's not going to get that selling toy robots that electrocute you if you hold them upside down.
Nate: "Mooooneeeey?"

The money wish came in really handy. It keeps Nate happy, works towards his LTW, and catapults this household into a higher tax category, meaning the town will get more income :)

Unfortunately, word of Nate's stroke of luck somehow got around, and that night the household was visited by a stranger with bad intentions. Or just an unfortunate sense of style, but I'm going for option A.

Nooooo, not Nate's violin! You fiend!

Quick Nate! Chase her off before she gets any more of your things!
Nate: "Aaaooughaaarrrhhaarrrr!"

Thieving lady is not impressed. Not surprisingly, Nate's just a big wussy underneath all the undead posturing. It's a good thing I hadn't actually spent any of Nate's cash yet, so all the burglar got away with were some pretty worthless bits of furniture.
Nate: "Vaaaahlin!"
We'll get you a new one, Nate, you're rich enough to afford it now. The town's first burglary also means one Sim can now enter the Law Enforcement career! I've already got a candidate in mind for that one. Next up are the Lovelace Sisters. Hope you enjoyed! :)
