Myra is coming to find out that life in this new town is not quite as idyllic as she imagined. She knows that she'd be able to grow a much better crop out in the fields rather than in this forest meadow, but Davin has been reluctant to leave the safety provided by having others around. She's got her hands full tending the garden, taking care of Cordelia and trying to mediate whenever Davin's upset someone again. She really wishes he'd try to get along with people a bit more, and it makes her sad that he's causing so much friction.
Davin on the other hand is getting more and more frustrated that nobody will do what he tells them to. He's fed up with Felix' unwillingness to move to better arable land and doesn't see why everyone seems to fall over themselves to do whatever Felix tells them to. Even Arthur, who he has always gotten along with, annoyingly sticks up for the Great Felix. He mostly takes out his frustration on harrassing Nate Babbling, that abomination of nature. At least he's good for something.
And little Cordelia? She's blissfully unaware of her parent's troubles, and has a grand time playing with her pink bunnyrabbit head.

The week starts off with Myra giving birth to her second child. This woman's pregnancies are a breeze, I don't know what's up with that. I've had Sims die from difficult pregnancies, but she just waddles around tending the garden, taking care of Cordelia and socialising without batting an eyelash. This woman is made to have kids, and lots of them.

Welcome to the town, little Stephen! Stephen has Myra's black hair and Davin's green eyes, just like his sister. His personality is really close to Davin's, unfortunately. Hopefully he won't grow up into a bully like his dad.

Myra: "Davin, dear? I think we need a new fridge. This one's making the milk go all green..."

Time for Cordelia's birthday! Oh, how quickly they grow up. There's probably going to be some age/time discrepancies, as after this week I added in the 1 year = 2 days agemod, to slow things down a bit. I'm finding I don't want these Sims to grow old and die just yet, I'm going to need a bit more time with them :) It might sort of bork up continuity slightly (only for Cordelia and Stephen, really), but as usual nobody but me cares about that sort of stuff, so whatever.

Cordie as a kid! I think she'll grow into those cheekbones eventually, and even if she doesn't, I think she still looks damn cute :)

Oh come on, aren't you lot satisfied with two sproglets? Apparently not, then.

Despite the look on her face here, Cordelia actually loves helping out in the garden. Her OTH turned out to be Nature, so she's perfectly content with pottering around outside and practically runs the garden on her own nowadays. Weeds just make her ANGRY! You wouldn't like Cordelia when she's angry!

Birthday time for Stephen! As you might be able to tell from Myra's outfit, she's started out in the Education career since Cordelia reached school age. It's a good thing Cordie helps out with the garden so much, because her mum certainly can use it.

Here's little Stephen Greengrass in all his chipmunky glory :D I kid, he's not that badlooking, if a bit chinny.

He does look kinda, uhm, disturbing occasionally. He even seems to have some sort of built-in evil goatee.
Stephen: "Yes, mother. Teach me how to walk, and I shall be one step closer to my goal of world domination! Muahahahahaa!"

Stephen: "But I do not want 'beddy-bye time' yet! Do you know how much work goes into world domination, you insipid fool?! When the time comes to pay your dues, you'll wish you'd never scorned me!"
(Yeah, Stephen is pretty much voiced by Stewie from Family Guy in my head -_-)

Cordelia catching fireflies outside in the garden...

Learning the very basics of cooking...

And doing her homework. It really sucks when your mum's the teacher, there's no way you can fool her about the amount of work you still have to do, because she knows.

Another succesful harvest means the town staves off starvation a while longer! Myra really seems to be the mother of the entire town, providing them with food, quietly getting along with everyone (she's pretty much a second Arthur in that regard), and trying to settle its grievances (mostly when Davin's been up to no good again). She should've gotten that position in the Law career, not Davin. But I'm sure she's much happier being a teacher and getting to spend more time with her children.

Arthur came over for a friendly visit, and got presented with some more fresh produce to tide him over. He always accepts, and is too polite to say he'd rather just eat grilled cheese all day instead of fruit and veg.

He's quick to become friendly with Cordelia as well, who mercilessly slaughters him in a game of catch. He's a bit of a wet noodle, which is why it amuses me to no end to have him in the Law Enforcement career ^^

Birthday time for Stephen! Time really flies by way too quickly. D: I was enjoying having my little evil toddler crawl around the place making deaththreats noone could understand. Look at him gazing up at Davin adoringly. You can't trust a face like that!

Stephen: "At last, I shall be able to overcome the dreaded stairs! Non-mushy food, here I come!"
You'll have to wait to see how Stephen turned out as a kid until next week, because apparently I forgot to take pictures of him -_-

Davin's a mean jerk, but a great dad. I guess the reason he gets along with his kids so well is because they have to do what he says, and can't argue back :P He reads Cordie to sleep most nights though, and does spend a lot of time autonomously playing with his children, despite being really busy with his work in the Law career. He's great at drafting all the rules, now he just needs to convince Arthur to enforce them.
