Since Lily got married to Felix, Rose and Violet have made do on their own. They're really happy for her of course, but life was a lot... easier with Lily around. She gave them direction, even if they got annoyed at her bossing them around sometimes.
At least the town isn't as lonely and remote anymore as it once was. They're not sure how Felix managed it, but they're actually getting tourists walking around town. A particular brand of tourist, the more adventurous type, who seem fascinated by the idea of starting out life in the sticks without any amenities. The other day Rose had to chase off a gang of spotty teenage geeks trying to peek through the bathroom window while Violet was having a bath. They claimed they were just doing research for their roleplaying campaign, or something. At any rate, it's nice to see some new people around the place.

The first spotting of a townie! I created a batch of them with the townie gun, then gave them all makeovers, which is why Parker here sports such an impressive beard.

Violet is much more centered now she has her crafting to focus on. I'm keeping all crafted items in her inventory, in case she wants to set up a business in the future. Violet and Rose have no income, but they don't have many expenses either, and I built everyone's houses very conservatively so they have some money left for bills and taxes.

Rose has been rolling Knowledge wants almost exclusively. After spending a morning playing jump rope, she wanted to keep working on her Body skill, and has it maxed by now. Whenever she does roll a Romance want, it's easily satisfied by inviting over Teddy for some sweet lovin'. She's actually one of the most fulfilled Sims in the hood, being constantly in the platinum.

Teddy brought Arthur over when Rose invited him for some quality time. Arthur and Violet have been circling around eachother for a while now, but ACR hasn't kicked in yet. This is probably due to Arthur being bi, with a slight tendency to males. Violet only has one bolt with him as well, which probably doesn't help either.

Rose more or less gets along with Davin, thanks to a few phonecalls he made to her. When he walked by the house, she used the opportunity to snatch him inside and sit him down with Teddy to work out their differences. Rose had quite a bit of influence saved up, which she spent on getting Teddy and Davin to talk. It seemed to work, as after a while they sat down to hang out together autonomously. My goodness, could progress be in the making?

Violet had wanted to go on a date for ages, so I had her ask out Arthur. This seemed to kickstart ACR somehow, as once they were on the date, they immediately started flirting with eachother. Huzzah!

Violet's definitely the one taking charge in the whole matter :)

Teddy and Rose were quick to make use of their alone-time as well. ^^

Felix and Lily gatecrashed (datecrashed?) Violet and Arthur's date. Everyone's constantly in and out of eachother's houses in this neighbourhood. I really enjoy the sense of community this gives :)

Violet's quick to cut in and get Arthur's attention back with some gossip, the main means of communication in this hood. (I'm not kidding, this lot gossip more than a bunch of old wives). Ahw Violet, jealous? :P

Somehow, the entire village ended up at Rose and Violet's place, except for Davin, who wandered off shortly before Nate arrived. Arthur provided grilled cheese sandwiches for everyone and a good time was had by all. I've had plenty of occasions on which I want to reach through the screen and give my Sims a slap, but this hood is really the first time I want to reach in there and give them all a hug. The sense of community is really wonderful, with Sims congratulating eachother on their triumphs, spreading the latest news, cooing over eachother's babies and really getting involved in eachother's lives.

Violet's date with Arthur turned out to be a Dream! It shot her into the platinum, and she's happier now than she's been in a long time. Her sewing's coming along fine as well, and she's finally able to craft her own outfits.

This is one of her first creations. It really suits her, I think :)

Towarsd the end of the week, something rather surprising happened to Rose. Well, surprising for her perhaps, anyway.

Bump! Oh dear, what's Lily going to have to say about this?

Fast forward a few days, and Rose gave birth to a healthy, bouncing, and above all, green baby. Well, at least there will be no discussion about who the father is, I guess?

The newest addition to the village is a little girl, Ivy. I think you'd best ring up Teddy, Rose, and tell him there's something he should know...
That wraps up Week 2 for the BaCC, which STILL is in dire need of a name >< Any suggestions on that matter are more than welcome!
