There was one little thing I hadn't taken into consideration when starting this challenge...







I forgot that pets counted towards the family limit, and in order to have 8 sims in my asylum, they had to go. No worries, they'll be reunited with their respective owners (Cyd and Tara) when the challenge is done. If one of them pops their clogs, I'll find another home for them.



Tara's not happy about her kitties being taken away :( Maybe you'll learn something from the experience though. As in, don't be a crazy cat lady.



About five seconds into the challenge, ACR decides that Erin and Cyd should totally get it on. This surprised me, considering they completely ignored each other at the singles party. Upon inspection it is revealed Cyd actually has three bolts with her - this must be fate!



Cyd will have to take care of his fellow patients, so it seemed like a good idea to get him some cooking skill points. If I want to keep Nervous happy, Cyd will need to be at Grilled Cheese level at least.



As creative skilling object, the piano was chosen. 



To the displeasure of the patients. Only Erin seems to find it hilarious.



Erin greatly approves of the Photobooth! Without double beds and only one sofa, ACR needed something to work with. And work it did.



Daniel and Nervous seem as apprehensive as I am at Alexandra's choice to give this cooking business a whirl. This is the first and only time she will do this, further on preferring to complain loudly of being hungry or trying to eat spoiled food.



Who would've thought Nervous would actually make himself useful? He has no personality points except for active, so this autonomous cleaning sort of took me by surprise.



Meanwhile, frienships are forged...



... while others don't like to play nice.



It only took about 24 hours for Alexandra to prove herself utterly useless.



Cyd got himself a job in his chosen career on day two. This is freakishly fast for me, I've been known to wait over two weeks to get a sim the job they want.





Nervous discovers a hobby, and I discover I gave him this totally flamboyant atheltic outfit while making him over. Larf.



Animal therapy seems to have good results on some patients, and Cyd and Tara could probably do with some animal company. So meet Happy Volts Asylum's newest inmate: Mr. Wiggles the womrat.

Gabriel Green is the first one to have a little accident. No wonder he never manages to score with the ladies.



One of the skills life at sea really requires is knowing how to refurbish old rickety cars. Obviously.



Erin loves Mr. Wiggles too! (Womrat faces = <3)



Seeing as everyone knows people on the outside, I decided autonomous phonecalls to the Asylum could be accepted, as long as someone autonomously picked up, and the person who the call was for picked it up by themselves. Here's Tara chattering away to some dude or other she met on one of the rare occasions she left the house.



ACR hit me with this beauty. Now I have to wonder what their children would look like, and it is no pretty picture.



Daniel: "I love you even though your face is scary! :D" I guess he's discovered the paper bag.



Things between Erin and Nervous quickly spiral downwards. He *really* does not like her for some reason. She's never done anything to him, he just loves to pick on her.





Everybody loves Mr. Wiggles!







Everyday life at Happy Volts is sort of boring so far. Everyone quietly keeps themselves entertained, and thanks to Cyd's cooking and general maintenance skills, everyone stays happy and healthy. I haven't even had a single aspiration failure so far.



Some of the patients watching TV together. Tara sort of snuggled up to Gabriel's legs because she's hanging out with someone off-screen, but it looks damn adorable none the less.

Of course, all this peace and quiet couldn't last forever. And Nervous deciding to kick the crap out of Erin was only the start to a lot more drama at Happy Volts Asylum...
