The Babblings are slightly more on themselves than the rest of the neighbourhood is. They spend most of their time studying and trying to invent useful things for the town. Rose's new LTW is to max out 7 skills, so she has her nose buried in the books quite often. Teddy - or Theodore as he's actually called, does anyone even remember that? :) - busies himself with his research and is trying to get published in one of the leading scientific magazines in SimNation.

They make sure to take out enough time to keep the fires of their relationship burning, though. Teddy and Rose never showed any interest in getting married, so I haven't bothered with it. They know they love eachother, and that is enough for them.

Ivy in her bear jammies. They're so ridiculously cute, I love them :)

Teddy and Rose taking advantage of the thick pack of snow that's laid over the village. They can be two big kids occasionally :)

Arthur and Violet waltzed by, totally lost in eachother's eyes. You might want to put on a wintercoat though, Violet.

Birthday time for Ivy!

I only get the toddler-to-kid transition cinematic about half of the time, for some reason or other. Shame, because I absolutely love that little dance the toddlers do, and then as a kid they go: "Doo de doo de doo de dooooh!". It's so precious it makes my eyes go squinty XD

Ivy all grown up :) She definitely takes after her dad, and has a very unique face. Yay for diverse genetics!

Rose invited her sisters over for a bit of a get-together. They don't get to see eachother anymore all that often, so it's good to gather and catch up occasionally.

Rose: "Teddy's been developing a new type of insulation based on tree bark. It won't do us any good for this winter, but next year we should all be able to properly keep the chill out. We've ordered some building materials from Sim City, so we can give the concept a try come Spring."

Violet: "That's great! Me and Arthur have been discussing building a new house as well, it's getting a little crowded in there for the three of us. We can't really afford new building materials though, so we're stuck expanding the wooden one."

Lily: "You girls have it so good. Felix won't even let me buy some curtains! Says that he needs to govern the town's budget, and there's more important things the town needs than curtains."
Rose: "Well, he's got a point I guess."
Lily: "Yes, but you don't live next door to Stephen Greengrass and his telescope!"

Ivy's doing well in school, which is probably not surprising considering her parentage.
Ivy: "...And Miss Myra told me that if I keep this up, I can take care of the class womrat next week! Oh and I asked Flora to come along to our house after school, I hope that's okay?"

Flora and Ivy are cousins of course, and they get along really well. Flora's really happy to have a girl her age to play and talk with, and Ivy thinks Flora is extremely interesting, what with having a werewolf dad and a witch mother.

It didn't take them long to become bestest friends :)

Let the adults worry over food stocks and isolation, for kids, winter is just plain old fun! The town's paperboy seems to be impervious against the cold, as he still tromps around everywhere in his shorts. His name is Jeremy Clarkson, by the way. I admit I giggled when I found out :P

Petting the Penguin :)

While her parents encourage Ivy to have fun with friends, they also stress the importance of a good education. She knows that knowledge isn't just about dusty books, and that her mother used her mechanical skills to make sure the town has water and electricity. Ivy really looks up to her mum, and hopes that she can do something just as great for the town one day.

Rose: "I think moving to this town was the best thing that ever happened to me. Meeting you, having Ivy..."
Teddy: "Mmmhmm."
Rose: "You're asleep, aren't you?"
Teddy: "Mmrfle mrrhmm."
