I made an oopsy last week, and told you all that Arthur and Violet's firstborn was named Damien. This is in fact what he was going to be called before I changed my mind and decided to have Arthur and Vi name their kids after cheeses. I do love me a naming theme :D
So apologies for the confusion, but this little tot goes through life with the (perhaps slightly unfortunate) name Wensleydale, or Wensley as his parents call him.
He's also got huge ears as a toddler, I just noticed. :D

Arthur Picklethorpe and his faithful sidekick Riana Quisenberry, worst law enforcers in the history of law enforcement. There have been about three burglaries in the town by now (Victims: The Babbling Brothers when they lived together, and both Teddy and Nate got robbed seperately when the household got split), and so far the dastardly burglar has been escaping our heroes' every attempt to thwart her crime spree. It doesn't help that they get distracted easily and spend more time settling who has to buy the donuts this time with a game of Red Hands than going on patrol.

Both Arthur and Violet rolled wants to have another baby, so have at it, you crazy kids. As you can see, Violet's decided to let the pink streaks grow out of her hair.

Violet: "Either all these Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are finally taking their toll on my figure, or I'm feelin' a baby bump coming up!"

Wensley sleeps in his mum and dad's room, seeing as the Picklethorpes can't afford to remodel their house for the time being. Violet didn't attempt to get back into the Gamer career after she was fired, preferring to concentrate on her sewing skills, which she has a golden badge in by now.

As if their money woes were acknowledged by some beneficial force (well, other than yours truly), Madame Zorah the gypsy left them a little present on their front lawn.

Violet was the one to receive the lamp, having maxed out her Arts & Crafts enthousiasm while working on her new outfit.

Now that Violet has her hands full caring for a baby, Arthur's taken over caring for Wensleydale.
Arthur: "Just a few steps more, you can do it Wensley..."

Arthur: "Yeeaah you did it little guy! Daddy's so proud of you! This calls for celebratory grilled cheese sandwiches!"
Like you ever eat anything else. I think Wensley's secretly glad that he's stuck with milk and mushy goo for now.

Late that night, the burglar made her most daring move yet, and actually broke into the Picklethorpe's house!

Nooooo not the television D:

She was rooting around in Violet's hobby shed when Arthur finally managed to crawl out of bed to see what all the downstairs racket was about. Come on Arthur, you big lug, DO SOMETHING!

Something other than cower in fear, possibly? *sigh*
Burglar: "Hah, and YOU'RE the guy who's supposed to catch me? No wonder this town has been such easy pickings!"
Arthur: "Please please not the face NOT THE FACE!"

Only after the burglar is long gone, Arthur's fighting spirit comes out of wherever it's been hiding.
Arthur: "I'll catch you next time, you thief!"
Sure, sure.

Poor Wensleydale was all shook up about the burglary.
Wensley: "Bad lady took Wenny's toys!"

Luckily most of the trauma of the burglary was soon forgotten, as Arthur and Violet threw a grand birthday party for Wensleydale, inviting the entire town for the occasion.

Despite Arthur's failings as a police officer, Violet's still crazy about her man :) Sidekick Riana was invited for the birthday as well, as she and Arthur are besties. It's a bit strange to see her out of her police uniform like that.

Doo de doo de doo de dooooh!

Wensley as a kid :D He definitely takes more after his dad, but he's got his mum's shape of eyes.

Well look at that! Davin automatically trying to make nice with his ex-wife? I never thought I'd see anything like that happen autonomously. Myra still doesn't want to hear it, however.

Looks like Stephen is taking over his dad's feud with Nate Babbling. That, or he's just annoyed that everyone keeps staring at the humongous pimples on his face, poor thing.

Wensley gravitated towards his cousin Ivy during the party, and at the end of the evening they'd become friends already :) I like how she somehow looks bigger than him, being quite a bit older.

With Violet still hogging the family's funds for her sewing shop, Wensley has been allocated a bed in the hobby shed. Not that he really minds, at least he doesn't get woken up at four in the morning by his little sister crying for a bottle. Besides, the shed is warm and he's allowed to play his mum's old games on the computer, sometimes even long after bedtime.

Wensley finally finding out what the fuss is all about concerning these so-called Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
Wensley: "Hmmmm..."
Arthur: "Just about the most delicious thing you've ever tasted, eh son?"
Wensley: "I think I preferred my toddler gruel."
Arthur: D:

Wensleydale is in fact quite the little cook, having declared Cuisine to be his OTH. His mum bought him a little oven to experiment with, which he's really thankful for (his dad can't even understand why anyone would ever want to make anything other than Grilled Cheese).

After his homework, he often looks through his aunt Lily's old cookbooks to find new recipes, preferably without any cheese in them.

Arthur's so disappointed at his son's lack of appreciation for cheese.
Arthur: *pout*

At least there's still another potential follower of his cheesy footsteps. Little Brie had her birthday on the last day of the week :)

Sweet as cheesecake :) What is it with these kids? I never get this good-looking offspring normally. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, it's just a bit unusual.
Calling out to all those Sim makers out there! I'll be needing some more townies soon now the village is growing, and I thought it'd be nice to have some of my reader's creations walking around town. You guys are part of what keeps me going on this project, after all, and genetic variety will do the town good :) So if you have some Sims for download that you wouldn't mind to see pop up in Riverside Hollow from time to time, let me know!

Seeing as Vi's LTW is unreachable for her in this lifetime (she wants to become a Professional Party Guest), I had her wish for Peace of Mind, making her the first permaplat in Riverside Hollow.
The other two wishes were spent on wishing for money, netting her a neat §46.000. Violet immediately put the cash aside as funds for her sewing shop, which might now become a reality after all!
Not that she'll have time to open the shop anytime soon, as the newest addition to the Picklethorpe family is on its way.
Arthur and Violet's second child is a girl (again! what is it with this town and mostly giving birth to girls? too much oestrogen in the water?), and in honour of Violet's stinky clouds at the time of birth, she was named Brie.

Now that Violet has her hands full caring for a baby, Arthur's taken over caring for Wensleydale.
