Nate and Anna have been trying to keep themselves occupied, and their minds firmly off the 'children' question. (And with one being a zombie and the other a robot, there's plenty of questions for the mind to dwell on, I'm thinking.)
They managed to secure a grant from some firm back in SimCity, which seems interested in stimulating commerce in Riverside Hollow. They're not really sure what that's all about, but together with Nate's savings and the income of their improvised cinema, they've been able to build a new house as well as the bar that Nate's been thinking of opening.

He named the place 'The Four Corners', and it's about time the town got a place to get together that isn't Felix' rather cramped living room. Let's have a bit of a tour, shall we?

The bar, usually manned by Nate because otherwise he'll go around poking and insulting the townie guests. Nate is quite a grouchy Sim, after all, and not very good with people he doesn't know.

The downstairs also has a stage with instruments on it (unlocking the Music career, but so far nobody's interested in joining up) and a seating area. Anna is quite fond of reciting poetry for noone in particular.

The other side of the room, with some arcade games for those playful customers.

The upstairs has a poker table for those Sims that like a little flutter on the cards. The toilets are upstairs as well (you can just about see the doors to the left of the picture)

There's also a darts board and a small seating area next to the open fire. (The girl in the yellow shirt is one of the townies that wandered in and became the Four Corner's first customer)

While Nate alternates playing barman with running the poker circuit upstairs, Anna takes it on herself to convince potential customers that the Four Corners is the best place in town for them to have a drink. Never mind that it's the only place in town. She seems to enjoy herself and keeps rolling wants for bronze and silver sale badges, anyway.
The Babblings didn't get up to much except for running their business this week, so have some random business pic spam :)

The Four Corners is quite popular with the teen townies.

The instruments proved to be quite popular, but noone ever really tips.

The highlight of the week was when someone set fire to the grill outside. Anna to the rescue!

Charred to a crisp and covered in fire extinguisher foam. Mmm-mmm.

In the little time Nate and Anna spent at home, Davin managed to come over and get himself shocked by one of Anna's security bots. Have you STILL not learned that newspapers are off limits, Davin? I've known hamsters that got the message faster than you.

Sunday is family day, and Teddy, Rose and Ivy were invited over for lunch and some catching up. Teddy is quite excited to talk about his work as an inventor.

Nate still dotes on his niece Ivy ^^ He's always playing around with her without me having to direct him.

Ahw, undead/robotic love :)
