From Monday on I will probably be updating quite a bit less frequently. *Waits for the cheers of spammed friendslists to die down*
I have an extremely important resit at the end of august, which will basically make or break my year. I pass, I'm all good. I fail, I have to retake my year including a subject I HATE, while not being allowed to retake the ones I love. So yeah, no pressure or anything. That's one of the reasons I've been stuffing all my play and LJ time into these past few weeks.
Anyways, moving on to Riverblossom Hills! I took waaaaay too many pics of the Roselands, because I luffs them. So sue me :p

This is the house Cyd and Erin bought after they left Happy Volts. Right now, it's a-buzz with preparations for the wedding.

Deciding on the questlist...

Booking the caterers... There's a lot to do.

Dora Ottomas was one of the first to welcome the soon-to-be Roselands into Riverblossom. Unlike the rest of the inhabitants, she doesn't think weirdly of Cyd or Erin having been at an asylum. (Socialising with the Riverblossom sims really didn't go too well. It's like they're stigmatised or something.)

Erin worries a bit about how she'll look on her wedding day. A shotgun wedding isn't really something she'd ever envisioned for herself.

All their friends from Happy Volts are invited, as well as Erin's family, the Beakers. Malcolm Landgraab IV always gives every occasion he attends an aura of class.

No special wedding dresses for pregnant women? :(

*Tear* :)

I can't help it, I love Loki. He's really sweet in my game, despite looking very scowly.

Don't you two go overshadowing the newly weds now.

Nervous sure likes eggs.

The party was a roaring succes!

The wedding came just in time, because the littlest Roseland is on its way that very same night. Cyd doesn't let it bother his sleep.

It's a babygirl, which they called Zoë.

Erin hasn't acclimatised in Riverblossom yet. She's bought a new, warmer wardrobe, but she still likes warming up in front of the fire.

So does Porthos.

While reading other people's stories, I noticed nobody seems to like Erin very much. She's such a great sim in my game though, taking proper care of herself and those around her, never whining, and almost effortlessly floating through life.

Cyd spends his spare time fishing in the pond behind their house.

Zoë grows up! Cyd and Erin don't have very interesting faces (I think they're both face 2-ers) so I'm not expecting anything spectacular from her. Zoë and Porthos immediately hit it off, and the two are pretty much inseperable.

He even lets her sleep in his basket.

Cyd is really enthousiastic about this parenthood business.
Tearing myself away from fangirling over the Roselands, and moving on to:
The Ramaswami Family

First point of business for Sanjay was knocking up Priya. (This took several days of trying, which I don't have any pictures from.) She has such a gorgeous face, I can't wait to see what their kid will look like. Though I'm a bit concerned about Sanjay's nose.

Baby time! It's a little girl and she's called Ajala, which means 'the earth' in Indian. Unless babyname sites have been lying to me again, of course, and she's in fact called 'pinky toe' or something.

They've also adopted the cutest looking stray cat. I'm not sure what he/she is called anymore though.
The Ottomas Clan

The Ottomasses had barely enough money to buy and furnish a house for their large family. They couldn't afford indoor lighting, which is why some of these pictures are going to be a bit dark. (And yes, I did chuckle at giving Peter that hairstyle.)

Peter hasn't been allowed to do a whole lot, because I'm having a hard enough time keeping all the kids happy and teaching them all they need to know. When he wasn't on childcare duty, he mainly bumbled around in the house watching telly or bothering his wife.

Samantha gives birth to twin girls! They've been named Stacy and Shelly.
Peter: 'I could hardly get around in this blasted house without tripping over the kids already and you found it necessary to get MORE?'
Shoulda thunk of that before you shtoinked your wife, Peter.

He'd better have a little chat with his son as well, come to think of it. Yep, that's Miranda Capp. They're still together, though we'll see what college brings.

Stacy and Shelly have grown up into some pretty unsightly toddlers. You can't see it very well in this picture, but I fear for their facial structure. Maybe they'll grow into it, though. *fingers crossed*

The twins aren't the only ones who've had their transitions. Sharla looks Ottomas through and through, but Tommy is just... not very Ottomas-ey. He looks so, well, normal. Maybe it'll getworse better when he grows up.

If Dora hadn't been around in this household, I would've gone crazy a long time ago. She is simply the best and does more parenting than Samantha and Peter combined. Tiredness, hunger or needing to pee are secondary to Dora if someone needs changing or help with their homework.
The Delarosa Family

Florence decided to start a homebusiness when she moved to Riverblossom Hills, so I used my crappy building skills to make her one. Notice the gypsy matchmaker in the front teleporting off. She's done that every single time when she's called over for a little while now (before I can greet her), and I have no idea what's going on. Anyone have any ideas of what could cause this?

The greenhouse in the back is where Florence grows her flowers and arranges them. Not necessary maybe, but there for fluff. I like me some fluff sometimes.

Only selling the couple of bouquets she makes isn't netting her a lot, though. I haven't really run businesses before and am finding it quite hard.

Florence decides that maybe selling some other plants and things will give her business a kickstart.

Just to prove that not all is well in the happy world of default replacements. Occasionally, this happens. I love Florence's restocking face, though. She's so adorable :)

Life can't be all work and no play, and Florence has been dating in hopes to find a partner for both her life and the flowershop. She's seen a few candidates, but the one she gets along with best is Connor Weir.

How could he resist such a cute face?

He soon agrees to move in with her.

Just thought this pic was sweet, even if Connor is spraying pasta all over the back of Flo's paper.

Connor's given up his day job to work in the flowershop. How hard can it be to operate a cash register, though? Sims look at it as if it's an alien contraption that could blow up when they press the wrong button.

Could that be a babybump I see there?
And thus concludes round 1 in Riverblossom Hills. As usual, I hope you enjoyed it :)
